Hello, hello! Today I’ve got a roundup of cute, casual winter outfits I’ve been showing on Instagram (@puttingmetogether) and Facebook! I post outfits on both of those channels that never make it to this blog apart from these roundups. Often by the time I post them here the sales aren’t happening or the items have already sold out. Winter where I live is very mild, so if you need to bundle these up more, wear tall boots instead and add a scarf! Also be sure to add some layers underneath, like the HEATTECH that I describe in the post How I Stay Warm In the Winter.
SIZING INFO: I’m 5’6″ with a short torso and normally size S/M or 6. Size 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
Yep, I live in a warmer climate but still wear blanket scarves in their full glory (i.e. not cut in half). It only happens sometimes, but it happens! ? My trick? I sub a blanket scarf in place of a jacket or cardigan. I wore this outfit a few weeks ago when it was chilly enough for a jacket, but instead of the jacket I bundled up in a blanket scarf. (But if I’m somewhere where it’s REALLY cold, I’ll wear both of course!) Sometimes I’ll wear a thinner top/blouse with a blanket scarf instead of with a cardigan. This has been allowing me to throw on a print and play with the cozy layered look without totally overheating. In case you missed it, here’s my 1-minute video on how I tie blanket scarves.

This is one of the outfits from the PMT Winter Challenge! Do this outfit with a neutral printed top + colorful cardigan. I modified the footwear since it’s not very cold where I live. Got to take my new taupe flats for a spin! These are the same ones from Amazon that I have in yellow and red and are only $26.99. I LOOOVE them, in case I haven’t made that clear twenty times before. 😛 I get asked often if they are comfy, and I always say yes for their price point. Their price is comparable to Old Navy and Target flats, yet often those feel like stiff cardboard whereas these don’t. ?? They’re a medium width, but I’d say they’re a tad on the wider side. If you are at all unsure about comfort or fit, I’d recommend buying one of the colors that offers free return shipping, trying it, then ordering the color you want in your size if you like it. The other side of the vest is so cute and fuzzy. Honestly though, I prefer the fuzzy side against my body instead! 🙂 I seriously love this thing! Looks great with a white long sleeve tee also.

This is one of my standard go-to’s for Fall and Winter (with taller boots when it’s colder): a plaid button up + oversized cardigan + jeans. Easy to do with lots of different kinds of plaid button ups!

These are fresh off the press, just posted on IG yesterday! Raise your hand if you LOVE a good versatile top. ??♀️? This one’s a winner and currently ON SALE here! SO cute and SO versatile. The neckline is v-neck but not very deep. The sleeves have cute ruffle details at the wrists, but be warned they’re not elastic. Doesn’t bother me but might be annoying for some.
