White on White

Benson and I entertained family all weekend (and still going) since his sister got married on Sunday!  With little time and energy to think about what to wear outside of the special events, you can bet I wore this outfit for 3 days straight.  #ifitaintbroke
I never thought I’d be into white on white, but I was wrong!  So, so wrong.  I tend to add a layer on top, like this green cardi, as well as a statement necklace in case I need to take off the top layer.  I haven’t done a plain white tee with white bottoms yet, but a white based patterned top with white jeans is one way to do it without being a completely blank slate.  The pattern helps me be slightly less worried about stains since there’s something else to serve as a distraction.  And being clumsy, I need that distraction.  I’ve reached a point where I’ve become unaware of my belly and accidentally hit it against counters, doorways, food…you know…and sometimes people.  Thank God for Tide To Go, which I had to use yesterday to remove some accidents.
White on white–do you dare?

This is a great all white outfit. I remember towards the end of my pregnancy, my baby bump always had crumbs on it…I guess I am just a messy eater.

    haha! Twins!

The Tide Pen works, but mostly for small stains and for being on-the-go. For the big kahunas I like Shout Gel and its scrubby brush. Gotta be careful not to scrub delicate material too roughly though–or else you'd rip a hole in it!

I don't trust white bottoms. It's such a pain to wear them carefully, not to stain or to wash them all the time… But you look cool 🙂 Always radiant!

OK, so I have to ask the delicate question… How do you handle white pants? I've been trying to find a pair for spring (mostly because you've blogged them, and now I can't get them out of my head) but every pair I try on is see-through! So what do you do? Thong? Nude briefs? It's not just my booty – I feel like the hip and thigh area is too thin, too. I even tried going up a size, thinking maybe they were just too tight, and that didn't help.
I haven't tried the Target pair, but I struck out at Old Navy and Belk.

Thicker jeans and nude underwear. 🙂 my non-maternity white pair is the Sweetheart cut from Old Navy.
