A lot of people think San Diego is always sunny, but that has hardly been the case this year. It’s been May Gray and June Gloom over here. This week has been overcast, and today I even felt some droplets of rain.
While this weather isn’t great for breaking out the skirts and bright summery tops, this is perfect weather for soup! A couple nights ago we had some friends over and cooked one of our favorite dishes–Tortilla Chicken Soup. YUM. Tonight some more people are coming over and we’re making chili with delicious honey cornbread. Also YUM. This is the stuff dreams are made of.
So, instead of being bummed by the weather, I’ll say cheers to the feel-good, warm-your-soul meals that fill you with warm fuzzies. Winner, winner in my book.
