I pinned this outfit like 2 years ago and FINALLY recreated it! I don’t know what took me so long because this is right up my alley. I think maybe it felt like such a no-brainer outfit for me that I was saving it for a rainy day. Not a real rainy day because, you know, we don’t have many of those down here. But, the kind where you stand in front of your closet and get depressed and mopey and feel like if you were in a commercial you would have a sad rain cloud over your head.
Well, that…and, 2 years ago I didn’t even have the pieces to recreate this. I just pinned it as an idea of where I wanted my style to go. Even though I didn’t run out and purchase all of the pieces at once to recreate it (like I talk about not doing in the post Shopping Mistakes I’ve Made) I somehow ended up with all of them two years later. And they’re some of my most worn pieces, including two of my faves, the dotted top and faux leather jacket.
It’s a great feeling when you’ve been intentional about your wardrobe and realize you’ve landed exactly where you wanted to be. You know what I mean? What have been some of your favorite purchases on your style journey?
