How to Save on Quality Spring Jackets – Athleisure, Casual, and Work

Affordable Quality Spring Jackets

Huge thanks to Nordstrom Rack and Collective Voice for sponsoring this post

One thing that’s great about spring style is LAYERS! Jackets add so much visual interest to outfits, not to mention are helpful for spring temps, but having comfortable jackets is KEY! Today I’m bringing you spring jackets that are great quality and that you can save BIG on, and I’m partnering with Nordstrom Rack and Collective Voice to do it!

You know I am HUGE on comfortable clothes, and Nordstrom Rack carries some of my absolute favorite brands—but for less! I always scream in excitement to the PMT team when I see one of my personal favorite items—that I had paid way more for (!!)—at Nordstrom Rack for a STEAL. If Nordstrom Rack isn’t one of your go-to stores, you need to make it one so that you can fill your closet with good quality, comfortable, and stylish pieces and save while doing so.

I also love that Nordstrom Rack carries straight, petite, and plus sizes. And, you can shop conveniently by utilizing their in-store and curbside pickup options and their extended return window.

I’m going to highlight some quality spring jackets that you can score for way less, and at the bottom of this post I’ll round up even more options.

SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

1. Sporty Athleisure Jacket
Finish off a cute athleisure look with a sporty jacket like this! You can get it in a neutral like black or add some more visual interest to outfits with the fun blue option that I’m wearing above, or the pretty purple version that you can see HERE. This hoodie is really lightweight and made of a sporty material, pairing perfectly with leggings for athleisure and post-workout activities. It’s a really cute and stylish option and is a step up from a standard sweatshirt hoodie. Again, it comes in 3 colors, HERE. I’m wearing size S.

While you can easily pair this jacket with black leggings, I went for blue instead to play with more color! The material is very smooth and while it feels thin, I felt like it supported and smoothed my extra bumps fairly well—always important with leggings. This pair is really affordable at just under $23 and is available in 3 colors. Find them HERE. I wear size S.

2. Denim Jacket
For casual activities, a denim jacket is a MUST during the spring! But, COMFY is KEY. Any denim jacket I wear must be lightweight, soft, and STRETCHY, and this one totally fits the bill! And it’s only $39.97, which is really good for a jacket that’s stretchy and comfortable like this! It feels like similarly-comfortable denim jackets that are usually $79, so grab this one while you can! It comes in this medium-light wash and a darker wash, HERE. I’m wearing size S.

Denim jackets go flawlessly with basically anything that isn’t a pair of blue jeans. I especially love to pair them with wide leg bottoms because the denim jacket’s shorter length and snugger fit helps to counter the volume from wide legs.

This pair of wide leg pants is really, really lightweight, soft, and comfortable with elastic in the waistband. They make a fun, affordable addition to your spring and summer wardrobe. Be sure to define your waist when you wear these if you don’t want to feel shapeless! They come in 3 prints, HERE. I’m wearing size S.

BTW, these are my daily sneakers! They’re timeless, yet at the same time, they make your casual outfits feel modern. Plus, they’re comfortable! The footbed is cushioned, and it never gets flats or loses its cushiness no matter how long you wear them. You can get them for less than retail price at Nordstrom Rack, HERE. I wear size 8.5.

3. Moto Jacket
Last up is a moto jacket! These are great for dressy casual outfits, like for date night or going out with friends, and you can wear them with slacks for work.

Nordstrom Rack always has a great selection of quality moto jackets that are anywhere between $29 and $50 (but usually cost $78 to over $100!) It’s my go-to place to find moto jackets that are legit but don’t break the bank! I’ll round up more at the bottom of this post.

The one I’m wearing here is a coated denim moto jacket, so it’s kind of a fun twist on a typical leather jacket! It has a great fit and is easy to wear, and it looks really upscale, chic, and stylish. Find it HERE. I’m wearing size S.

BTW, this top is a pretty spring blouse that you can wear to work or that you can pair with dark wash jeans for a polished casual look. It has a knot at the hem which you can see on its product page HERE. I actually tucked the top in so that you can’t even see the knot, and it didn’t add extra bulk. And, if you don’t like tucking things, the knot gives you a finishing touch that a partial tuck provides, without having to tuck. Find it in 2 prints, HERE.

Those are some great spring jackets that you can add to your wardrobe that will go with a TON of your outfits! A denim jacket and a moto jacket are two of my recommended wardrobe staples, so I mean it when I say they are extremely versatile and go with a ton of things. If you don’t have good options that are comfortable, or if you’d like to update some of your pieces, these are great options to try!
