Alright, leggings! If you’ve been around PMT for a hot minute, you’ve probably heard me talk about Zella before, namely the Zella Live In High Waisted Leggings. In case you haven’t, they’re awesome! They’re thick and not see-through, and they have some compression to help firm things up and hold everything in. 🙌🏽 Plus, they have a wide, high waistband, which flattens a tummy. If you’re ready to expand your leggings collection, you NEED to know about these Restore Soft Leggings by Zella! They feel AWESOME and SO different than all the others!
The material is smooth and INSANELY SOFT! I honestly don’t know how to describe it besides cozy and seriously COMFY and soft! And warm! These feel warmer and cozier than the Zella Live In and Zella Studio Lite leggings. I’m not the only one who thinks they’re awesome. They have 420 reviews with 4.7 stars!
They have ribbing at the waistband and ankle cuffs for a sportier vibe that’s great for Athleisure and some lighter activity. But, they’re so soft and comfy that I’d definitely wear these for loungewear, too. Perfect for all the time we’ll be spending indoors during the holiday season!
They come in two colors, this “Black” version which is really a darker grey, and a light grey version which is mostly sold out now.
They have huge pockets down the legs, too. Now, while those pockets are super useful, I personally didn’t love them with my wider hips in the lighter grey color. However, they were fine in the darker color. Just a heads up in case you’ve got some curvy hips too! 😄
Let’s talk through a couple of ways to wear them!
SIZING INFO: I’m 5’6″ with a shorter torso and usually S/M or 6 in clothes.
1. Light Activity
Since these leggings are on the warmer side and because I live in a warmer climate, I’d personally stick to doing lighter activity in them as opposed to really heavy workouts. Here, I paired them with a crop top that’s also made by Zella for activities like brisk walks or running around with my kids while they ride bikes.
I really like how this tank feels! It’s lightweight but sturdy and not super thin. It’s got 150+ reviews and 4.7 stars! There are a number of reviews from people saying they love it for both low activity and HIIT work outs. I LOVE this purple color, but it comes in other colors as well! Check them out HERE! 2. Athleisure or Time at Home
Like I said, these leggings are INSANELY soft and are great for Athleisure as well as being at home! For that, I’m pairing them with this slouchy, long sleeve t-shirt. It’s got a relaxed, worn-in vibe that pairs well with these super soft leggings. I don’t have a lot of long sleeve t-shirts with a relaxed vibe like this, so I’m digging this one! The sleeves also have thumbholes which are always a nice touch. This top is about 27.5″ inches long (depending on which size you get). Also, the slightly rounded hem gives it a little movement.
For sizing , I’m wearing size S here and would like to try the XS to compare, but I’m still waiting for that order to arrive. Since it has a slouchy fit, there is a lot of extra material along the torso. Though, I can’t tell if that’s simply because I need to size down. If you’re unsure of sizing, remember you can order multiple sizes and send back whichever size doesn’t work for free thanks to Nordstrom’s free return shipping. Also, you can simply tie the bottom of the top into a side knot to give it more shape.

You could also pair these leggings with a cute, sporty sweatshirt. This sweatshirt by Zella is lighter weight and not super fuzzy, which is great for being on-the-go for errands or being out and about with kids. I love how this sweatshirt looks cute and cropped in the front but is longer in the back for some coverage. It’s available in 5 colors HERE! I wear size S.
