Comfy Flats

I’m on pseudo-vacation this week, and I started off Monday morning with a trip to the zoo in this outfit.  If you follow me on Instagram (moomooaudrey) you might recognize this from our little green-screened panda pic:
Even though they’re totally fake and green screened, (yep, not even stuffed animals), aren’t they adorable?
Anyway, I’ve worn this outfit like a billion times, but today it’s finally official since it made it to the blog.  Because, you know, outfits are only real if they are blogged.  Just like how a relationship is only official once its on Facebook.

These flats are perfect for the zoo, lemme tell ya.  As you know, I love Target and Old Navy shoes and I’m very much a cheap shoe junkie.  My feet have been through the school of hard knocks and can handle it.  But these shoes from Gap are leather and though I can walk around the zoo and other places just fine in crappy Old Navy shoes, walking miles in genuine leather shoes is SO MUCH BETTER.  The tides might be turning as I might be inclined to continue going for genuine leather shoes, but I’m not making any promises to kick my current addiction.  I’m definitely getting swayed though.
The first two links below are the exact Gap pair I have and a similar genuine leather Target version.  (Target’s site was having problems yesterday so hopefully these links work.)  Kimmie has been investigating the Target non-cap toe version and I tried them on in store yesterday.  Very soft and seemingly promising!  They come in a lot of different colors (black, tan, mint, yellow, orange) plus cap-toe versions in navy, green, metallics, and some other neutrals.  Looks like I might have a new addiction.
Do you put your feet through the school of hard knocks, or do you treat them well?  What are your comfy shoe brands?
