White Tees for the Win

I’ve said before that if ever I was glad to have learned to remix or to have reworked my closet it would be during this pregnancy.  One thing I learned was the beauty of a plain white tee.  I honestly thought they were dumb and pointless before, but I see the light now!  And boy, do I need it to maximize my maternity wardrobe!
Pair it with ANY bottom and add a statement necklace, a simple pendant, or a scarf to change things up.  Ta-da!
In other news, Benson is in full. on. nesting. mode.  But it ain’t whatcha think.  Instead of assembling things like a crib, he’s taking things apart.  Yeah.  Taking things apart and getting rid of stuff like there’s no tomorrow.  Besides getting rid of 1/3 of our books, two bookcases, a desk, a few chairs, and a lot of other little things, he even got rid of nearly HALF his wardrobe earlier this week!  And I, of course, watched him and had to eat ice cream–definitely had to–to keep me from having an anxiety attack as he ruthlessly went at his closet.  Then he told me to do the same, and I was like…
But really, building a capsule maternity wardrobe has been great practice and a great discipline for making the most of my wardrobe.  It’s brought me back to some really basic things I’ve learned over the last 3 years and I have to admit, while I’m itching to get back to the rest of my closet, I simultaneously want to tear through it too.  But you bet I’ll need to gear up with a major self pep talk first.  And ice cream, of course.  Always ice cream.
