The Printed Maxi Dress That Got Me

I failed at resisting this maxi dress, and I ain’t one bit sad about it!  It’s comfy and soooo effortless to wear, whether for a casual hang out or when you need to dress up a little more during the summer.

I first saw it during the Nordstrom Half-Yearly sale but thought I’d be nursing through out the summer and wouldn’t get much use out of it.  Then, mixing and matching it only made me like it more, so I ordered it just to see.  Totally playing with fire!  Roughly around the time it arrived at my house, Addie quit nursing.  It was a stressful and confusing time, (like, was it just a nursing strike or weaning?  Yup, weaned…oh, but wait! She still won’t drink from a bottle/cup/straw/sippy….), so to embrace the new stage I kept the dress.  A little celebratory present to myself!  ðŸ™‚

It comes in a ton of different prints, many of which I showed below, as well as 4 solid colors (cobalt, black, coral, and jade–see #5).  I also added a few from other stores.  The blue striped one (#9) from Target is similar but stripes might feel like a safer print for some.  It also has thicker straps.

Dress size reference: I normally wear 6 and got this in small.  I’m 5’6″ and it’s a little long on me, but when I ran errands in it I knotted the bottom to pull up the hem.  The top is double lined while the bottom is not.  I wear a slip under everything just to personally feel more at ease, but therefore I didn’t pay attention to whether not it was see-through.

Shoe sizing: I wear 8.5-9 and got these in 9.
