SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
1. T-shirt
Your wardrobe needs at least one great basic tee. You can either pair it with other basics for a simple outfit, or you can pair it with those statement pieces that have you stumped. A great basic always works well with those!
This tee is my FAVORITE! Don’t underestimate how impactful a good quality tee can be. When the style is simpler, such as with a basic tee, quality matters even more. 2. Elevated Casual Top
An elevated casual top is on the list of spring tops every wardrobe needs for those times when you want to dress a step up from a t-shirt but not actually be dressed up. I’m always on the lookout for them, and I really like this one! The material of this shirt hits perfectly the stylishly casual vibe, and the vertical stripes are current and modern. Nordstrom Rack also carries Madewell jeans, BTW — great denim for less! I had been wanting a pair of Madewell Kick Out jeans, and I found them at Nordstrom Rack in the perfect color — for nearly 40% off! They are sturdy and fairly thick, yet soft with stretch. 3. Blouse
Last, the third category of spring tops every wardrobe needs is blouses! I always recommend having a dressy top (or several) that you can wear to work with slacks and that you can pair with jeans for dates or going out with friends. I’m sharing two options above, which are both great!
The flutter sleeve top is perfect for dressing up a little for a date or to go out with friends. The material is comfy with some stretch, and the ruffle sleeves add details that make the top special.
