Fair Wear

YESSSSSS.  I’ve been growing out my hair and it’s finally long enough to stay in a ponytail.  Barely.  But, I’ll take it.  Everyday I want to chop it off, but then I just look at Merrick’s hair as inspiration and hold on for one more day.  *Cue Wilson Phillips*
Once July hit and life finally settled down the first thing I wanted to do was shop.  One swoop around Marshall’s and $16 later I knocked one item off my wish list–a black maxi dress.  Score!  Just as I was experimenting with my hair and trying on this dress B texted me from work saying he had free tickets to the fair, so this is how I went.  Like I said before, maxi dresses are perfect for pretty much any occasion which is why I wanted to add a black one to my arsenal.  Maybe I was overdressed, especially compared to the MANY see-through tops, crop tops, and butt cheek exposing shorts that we saw.  But hmm…possibly overdressed or exposed butt cheeks?  Sounds like a toss-up to me.
Below are a million black maxi dresses.  (Okay, just eight…and technically number 5 is navy.)  The details of black dresses do NOT show up well unless you see close ups, but all the dresses in the bottom row have a bit more special detailing at the necklines.  All are from Kohl’s, Target, Old Navy, and Forever 21.
