SIZING: I’m 5’6” and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
1. Blouse + Corduroys or Jeans
First up, opt for one of my go-to formulas for a dressy holiday party outfit – a blouse with pants. You can totally pair the blouse with jeans, but if you want to put a twist on the outfit, wear corduroys instead! Corduroys add texture and dimension.

2. Dress
A dress is always a great option for a dressy holiday party outfit! If you need something really fancy, go for one with sequins! Kohl’s has several fun sequin dresses right now, which I’ll include in a widget at the bottom of this post.
This dress is classic and classy! I appreciate that it’s knee-length, as lately it can be hard to find dresses that hit that sweet spot of not-too-short and not-too-long. On top of that, the dress is stretchy, fully lined, and has a belted waist to give you some shape. I also like that it has elastic at the neckline and cuffs, which makes it more comfortable. 3. Sequin Top + Jeans
Last, dress up your jeans with a sequin top for a great dressy holiday party outfit! Sequins dress up everything, and this top is a really fun piece to have in your wardrobe in case you ever need to add some shine! It’s fully lined, and it’s stretchy, making it more comfortable to wear. The v-neck, peplum, and belted waist all add details that dress up the top even more, and on a practical note, the v-neck has a clasp to keep it secure. The wash is a fantastic blue that makes outfits pop, and it is really easy to dress up and down. (I’ve paired these with slip-on sneakers and a sweatshirt, too!) Plus, they are comfortable!
