I’ve said this so many times, but it’s important! One major reason I love Nordstrom is because they have sooo many options that feel REALLY good and are REALLY comfortable. Shopping there has completely changed how comfortable I feel in clothes and how much more enjoyable it is to wear clothes. So many of my clothes from Nordstrom feel comfortable in big and small ways, from softer, more comfortable, and more breathable materials to how clothes drape and hang on you. SIZING I’m 5’6” and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
First up is this cuuuuute ikat smocked top with these olive trailblazer shorts. I love the print, ruffle details, square neckline, and overall style! This top is on the pricier end, but it feels really, really good! It’s very, very lightweight and very breathable! It definitely keeps you cooler on a hot and humid day. You can find it HERE. I wear size XS.
These trailblazer shorts are really comfortable as they are easy to move around in thanks to a little stretch in the fabric and a fully elastic waistband. At the same time, the fabric still offers some structure, which is great for all of you who have asked how to wear comfy summer clothes without looking like you’re wearing pajamas! In addition, the pockets are deep, and the cuffed hem adds a little character and visual interest. You can wear these to hike in, or you can style them in an elevated casual outfit like I’m doing here. They are very versatile! They come in olive green, white, a terracotta, and a peachy beige, which you can see HERE. I wear size 27 as these run a bit large.
Another option for a very, VERY lightweight tank top to try is this Ruffle Strap Cotton Tank Top. It’s extremely lightweight and will definitely keep you cool, and it’s soft and comfortable! Here I’m showing one of my favorite pairs of shorts, which are of course by Wit & Wisdom. These are sooooo soft, very stretchy, and extra comfortable with the elastic strip in the waistband. You can find them HERE, and I wear size 6.
I paired them with the same ikat top from the previous outfit. They also work well with the ruffle strap cotton tank top and help to offset the shorter length of the tank top.

Last is an outfit that you can work from home in with this printed blouse and gauzy wide leg pants.
This top is the ever-so-popular Halogen cap sleeve top that I have shared in several prints. It’s become a PMT community favorite because it has a very versatile silhouette that can be partially tucked into bottoms or fully tucked into skirts and pants, like I’m doing here. The crew neckline also allows you to pair it with any type of necklace, and you can wear it under any type of completer piece. Blazers, utility jackets, denim jackets, cardigans—you name it! And, you can pair it with bottoms for work or jeans for a nice, casual outfit. Like I said, it’s so versatile! You all love it so much (as do I), that I feel like it’s my duty to show you whenever it comes out in new prints, haha! Like I said, you can pair this top with any type of slacks for work, in addition to jeans for casual outfits. But here, I’m pairing it with super SOFT, lightweight, gauzy wide leg pants to keep you cool in the summer! These pants are super duper comfortable, complete with a stretchy elastic waistband! They come in black and white, which you can see HERE. I wear size S.
These pants are more on the casual end, so I think of this as an outfit for a slightly more relaxed work setting or for working from home when you want to look nice for video meetings but want to stay cool and comfortable on the bottom. They also work really well with casual tees and tanks and sandals for the weekend! For similar pants that are dressier that are also very, very comfortable, try THESE. I wear those in size S.
If you don’t like wide leg pants, another great option for soft, lightweight linen pants are these Wit & Wisdom joggers. They are soft, gauzy, breathable, and not at all itchy, and they come in 3 colors, HERE. I wear size S.
If you have also tried the PMT favorite Caslon linen joggers, the Wit & Wisdom ones are just as soft and possibly a tad thicker. But the most notable differences are that the Wit & Wisdom pair is a tad longer, and the Caslon pair seems to be cut narrower in the hips, whereas the Wit & Wisdom ones fit my curvier hips and narrow waist better. The Caslon ones are also really comfy, and they come in 4 colors and petite and straight sizes, HERE, and in 3 colors in plus sizing HERE. I wear those in size S.
