It might be near the end of July, but where I live there’s still plenty of summer weather left! It actually feels like we’ve just gotten started! One of my keys to easier summer style is to have at least three summer bottoms that you feel good in. 1. Denim Shorts (comfortable ones!)
These are a summer staple! Finding a pair that’s right for you and that’s comfortable can take some work. But, it’s totally worth it since it will give you an option that goes with nearly everything making you feel put together more easily. You can pair denim shorts with super casual tanks and tees or dress them up a little with an elevated casual top, like I’m doing here.

*Pro tip: I typically go a size up in denim shorts compared to what I wear in jeans!

2. Black, White, or Other Neutral Shorts
Add a second pair of shorts in a neutral color, like black, white, tan, grey, or navy. Choose either denim shorts or soft shorts. The neutral color will work with lots of colors and prints and will give you an alternative to denim shorts that will add variety to your outfits.

Again, you can pair them with casual tees or with nicer casual tops. 3. Soft, Lightweight Pants
Last, include soft, lightweight pants, preferably in a neutral color, to have an option for days when you don’t want to wear shorts. Again, comfort is key!
These pants are really soft and lightweight, and they’re super comfortable with a fully elastic waistband and drawstring. They look polished and can be worn with blouses, like I’m showing here.
