Alright, let’s talk through COMFORTABLE JEANS AND PANTS!
SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
Wit & Wisdom Ab-solution Modern Skinny Ankle Jeans
First up is one of my top two pairs of jeans, the Wit & Wisdom Ab-solution Modern Skinny Ankle Jeans, which are part of Wit & Wisdom’s Ab-solution line. I have been sharing this brand for YEARS, and they have become a PMT fan favorite. They are soft and super stretchy throughout the leg. Plus, they also have a stretchy waistband thanks to an elastic strip sewn in! That makes them SO comfy! Because really, what good is stretch in the legs if the waistband isn’t stretchy, too?
I LOOOOOVE these jeans! I cannot stress enough what a game changer it is to have insanely comfortable jeans, especially with a stretchy waistband! (They also have a zipper and button, BTW.) If you want super comfortable jeans, you HAVE TO check these out!

There are other washes, styles and rises in the Ab-solution line as well. I can’t attest to how soft or smooth all of them feel, as every pair is different. But they should all at least have the elastic strip in the waistband. Check out the whole Ab-solution line HERE.

Wit & Wisdom Jeggings
This is my other go-to pair of jeans. They aren’t part of the Ab-solution line, but they are veryyy stretchy throughout the leg. And while they don’t have that elastic strip in the waistband, the entire waistband does still have some stretch and give. BTW, though they are called “jeggings,” they have a button and zipper just like regular jeans.
Above I’m showing the jeans dressed up and dressed down. Dark wash jeans are super versatile!
These run very large. I wear them in size 4, but could even wear them in size 2. If they feel baggy and the material is bunching everywhere, then definitely size down one if not two sizes. Remember, Nordstrom offers free shipping and free return shipping on all orders, so you can order multiple sizes to find the best fit and return whichever doesn’t work for free.
If Wit & Wisdom jeans don’t work out for you, another brand that is super stretchy is KUT From the Kloth. They don’t have an elastic strip in the waistband, but the jeans have a lot of stretch, and the denim feels good overall.

If you need a black pair of jeans, I’ve been wearing these for years. They’re part of the Ab-solution line, so they are stretchy, including the stretchy waistband. Mine have also softened up over time, and now they feel perfectly worn in. Love ’em! Check them out HERE.

Wit & Wisdom Bootcut Jeans
These are another HUGE PMT fan favorite! If you think dressing up is uncomfortable, think again. These look so chic and polished thanks to the streamline dark wash, but they are super, SUPER comfortable! They’re very stretchy but don’t lose their shape, and they have the elastic strip in the waistband for extra comfort!
Check them out in standard and petite lengths HERE. I wear them in size 8. Plus sizes are available HERE. I sized up to fit around my thighs a little better, but other PMTers who don’t have curvier thighs stuck with their normal size (which would be size 6 for me).

Vince Camuto Slim Leg Tech Ponte Ankle Pants
Speaking of looking chic and polished while still being super comfortable, these black pants for work are INSANELY COMFORTABLE! They are smooth, soft, and very, VERY stretchy. They don’t lose their shape, so they continue to look polished all day. They’re also on the thicker side, so they gloss over lumps and bumps nicely. These are another PMT fan favorite, and so many women have message me to say how ecstatic they are to have found these! I cannot stress how comfortable they are.
If you ever need to dress in business casual outfits, you need to have a super comfy pair of black dress pants. Check these out HERE. I wear size 4, as they run large.
Liverpool Kelsey Knit Trousers
Another option for extremely stretchy, smooth, soft, and comfortable work pants is the Liverpool Kelsey Knit Trousers. These come in solid colors as well as prints. The solid colored ones are thicker than many of the printed ones, but the printed ones are still awesome. These feel so, so good, and it’s nice to be able to diversify your work wardrobe with different colors and prints while still being insanely comfortable! Many PMT readers have also bought these and have fallen in love!

Those are my top recommendations for comfortable jeans and pants for work. These are tried and true, friends! I’ve worn these for YEARS, and they are huge hits among fellow PMT readers. It is seriously AMAZING to have insanely comfortable jeans and pants, so if you want to make your wardrobe more comfortable, check some of these out!
Now, even though this post is meant to be for jeans and pants for work, I’ll share my favorite athleisure options as well, just to keep everything together in one post. Here we go!
Zella Live In High Waist Leggings
Of course, I need to put the Zella Live In High Waist Leggings here. Typically, I’d wear them for activewear and athleisure, but the great things about these is that you can wear them in casual looks with a tunic sweater and tall boots, too!
In case you’re new around here, I’ve been wearing these for years, and they are a mega PMT fan favorite. They are thick, not see-through, and have some compression to suck things in and keep you nice and secure. They also have a high, wide waistband that lays flat against your midsection and makes it more comfortable than one that digs into your midsection. Check them out HERE. Zella Restore Soft Pocket Lounge Leggings
These leggings are so, SO comfortable and feel unlike standard leggings. The material is VERY soft. It’s note quite fuzzy–it’s hard to describe! Just really, really, really soft. They have a sporty vibe to them with the ribbing at the ankles and ribbed waistband, but the material is so soft that it feels like loungewear. I primarily wear these as loungewear around the house or for a quick walk outside. I need to say this again: they are SO comfortable!
One note is that the pockets are huge, and in certain colors they accentuate hips and thighs but don’t in other colors. If the pockets are too noticeable for you in one color, try another to see if that helps. Check them out HERE. I wear them in size S.

Zella Live In Pocket Joggers
Last, these joggers are amazing. They are a stretch tech type of material, so they are smooth, soft, and of course very stretchy. The knees don’t get super saggy after multiple wears, either. Isn’t it annoying when joggers do that?
They are pricier than what I am used to paying for joggers, but the material is so soft, they breathe better, and they just feel better against your skin in a lot of subtle ways. I LOVE them. They come in several colors HERE. I wear these in size S.

When you fill your closet with insanely comfortable pieces, it is WAY easier to feel stylish and put-together each day. So, pleaseeeee, friends. If you don’t have comfortable jeans or comfortable pants for work, do yourself an enormous favor and at least get one pair of each that is insanely comfortable!
