I’ll be showing each of the tops with jeans simply to show you the easiest grab-and-go combo for going out, but I’ll also mention some other pairings you can try!

SIZING INFO: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

1. Solid Colored Blouse
I love having at least a couple of solid colored blouses on hand because they work well in a lot of settings. You can pair them with jeans, flats, and a cardigan or a utility jacket for a nicer casual outfit, and you can dress them up with slacks for work. You can also wear them out for a date by pairing them with dark wash jeans. Top it off with a moto jacket or a blazer!

This orange blouse is a fun color for spring and summer! The material is fluid and drapes really well, so it looks classy without looking stuffy or stiff. Here, I paired it with dark wash jeans and a moto jacket and topped it off with metallic earrings and leopard print shoes! Dark wash jeans and a moto jacket instantly dress up your outfit. I’ve needed to replace my pair of dark wash Wit & Wisdom skinny jeans, so I recently got THIS pair. They came with the label “Luxe Touch,” though the description online doesn’t mention it. They are slightly thicker than the standard skinny jeans and do feel like they live up to the Luxe Touch label! They are very smooth and stretchy, but I really appreciate that they are a bit thicker, and they have the awesome elastic waistband to keep you extra comfortable! Find them HERE. I wear size 4.

Here is another example of a solid colored top that I shared recently in “How to Style Different Types of Jeans for Spring (That Aren’t Skinny).” This one is so cute, and you know I’m a huge fan of yellow!

I paired it with the Raw Hem Jeans, which I’ve shared before and are also SUPER comfortable! The denim is so soft, and they’re really stretchy and also have the forgiving elastic waistband! I’ve shared before that I love these because they are technically a skinny cut but look more like straight leg jeans, which can be helpful as a smaller step to transition from skinnies to straighter cuts. These are currently limited in sizing, but I have seen them fully restocked several times over the last year, so check back for them HERE. I wear size 6.

You can also pair colorful tops like these with white jeans, wedges, and a denim jacket for a cute daytime date outfit. I love how fresh and crisp that combo looks!

2. Printed Blouse
Next up is an adorable printed blouse like this one! I’m always a sucker for this type of print, and the details like the smocked waistband, ballet neck, and cuffed sleeves add extra style to elevate the top even more. It’s a great statement piece for going out, but of course you can also pair it with dress pants to wear it to work.

This top is shorter at 22.5″ long, so pair it with high waisted jeans for a modern silhouette.

I’m showing a classic combo by pairing the top with dark wash jeans and added red accessories to make it pop. This top would also be cute with lighter wash distressed jeans. You can also go classic and elegant with black dress pants. There are so many ways to wear this top!

3. Camisole
Last up is a camisole! I LOVE the look of a camisole with a blazer or a moto jacket, and I like it even more with distressed girlfriend jeans! Of course, if distressed girlfriend jeans aren’t your style, go for classic dark wash skinny jeans or dark wash bootcut jeans!

This camisole can seem pricey for a cami, but it’s probably my favorite camisole out of the several I’ve tried over the years. It’s fully lined, so it’s not see-through. The pleats along the neckline give it visual interest which makes it look like a real blouse rather than an undershirt. The straps are adjustable so that you can find your perfect fit. Oh, and it’s machine washable! 👏🏽 It’s available in sizes XS to XXL, and you can find it in white, HERE and in 4 other colors, HERE.

As for the girlfriend jeans, these are my favorite pair that I’ve told you about several times. They are SO SOFT and SO COMFY with lots of stretch everywhere and the comfortable elastic waistband! Girlfriend jeans don’t get much better than this. Check them out HERE! Be sure to size down as these run quite large. I’m wearing size 4 but could even wear size 2 comfortably.
