Today we’re back with another One Piece Many Ways post. It’s no secret that I’m ALL ABOUT THAT STRIPED TEE. Funny enough, before I built my remixable wardrobe, I thought stripes were overrated. Boy, was I wrong! A striped tee is as simple to wear as a plain tee, but the stripes provide visual interest without you having to try harder. At the same time, stripes are incredibly versatile. If you need more convincing, you can see the many, many, manyyyyy ways I’ve worn a striped tee HERE. And those are just the outfits with my short-sleeved striped tee–they don’t even include outfits with the long sleeve one! So, so, so, so many ways to wear one.
If choices overwhelm you, for now, we’ll just focus on three ways to wear a striped tee: casual, work, and a date.
I have MANY striped tees (because I kind of hoard them), but the one in today’s outfits is a great option if you are looking for a striped tee. It’s super duper soft, has really clean and classic stripes, and drapes fairly well. And it’s only $8!! Sometimes $5 during a sale. Sooo, scratch what I said earlier. Here are a few outfit formulas you can try with it!
SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes, 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
Outfit #1: Casual
One of my default outfits when I need to get dressed quickly is a striped tee + jeans + white sneakers. I’ll often add either a utility jacket if it’s cooler or a utility vest if I want a layer on a warmer day. This is such an easy, relaxed, but put together look for running errands, dropping off the kids, or working from home.

Outfit #2: Work
Dress up a striped tee for a business casual look* with pants and a blazer. A blazer really helps add some professionalism to an otherwise very casual tee. To give it a little life, I went with colored pants. These pants are the ankle length pixie pants from Old Navy. While these pants don’t feel the most luxurious, I like them as an inexpensive, pretty-comfortable-for-the-price, option to add variety to your wardrobe. ANY color works with this outfit, whether a different color like cobalt blue, green, or teal, or whether a neutral like black, grey, or khaki.
As a final twist, I chose to pattern mix with leopard print pumps! Or, keep it streamline with black pumps instead.

Pair a striped tee with black jeans and wedges for a low key date or lunch with friends. This elevated casual look is one of my favorites for both spring and early fall!
If you want to dress up a striped tee even more go with a cognac moto jacket + statement necklace + leopard print pumps. Or, pair it with a skirt + denim jacket.
