Alright, onto the shoes!
SIZING INFO: I’m 5’6″ and usually size 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
1. Wedges
Wedges are a staple in my wardrobe. I love them for dressy casual outfits with jeans, skirts, and dresses. While you could wear heels instead of wedges, sometimes heels feel a little too dressy for what you’re doing. Wedges hit that sweet spot between really dressed up and casual!
I personally love nude wedges because they go with so many different things, and they blend into your feet, which helps extend your leg line. That said, other neutrals like black and white are great, too, and those might be better for your wardrobe depending on the colors you tend to wear.
The pair I’m wearing above is by Steve Madden, and the silhouette is perfect! It’s exactly the style I recommend if you’re looking for a versatile, classic wedge that looks stylish year after year. The espadrille sole keeps outfits looking light and fresh, which is great for spring and summer style. There is a tiny bit of cushion in the footbed, and the rubber sole provides some grip and traction to make it easier to walk in. These come in nude, black, and clear. Check them out HERE. I wear size 9.
2. Metallic Sandals
A pair of metallic sandals is a great option for when you want to add just a tiny oomph to outfits and when you want to wear flats instead of wedges. Metallic sandals go with almost anything and add some shine to bump up the dressiness factor without being over the top.
The pair I’m wearing above is affordable, made of faux leather, and has some padding in the footbed to add comfort. These come in a lot of great colors! In addition to Rose Gold Metallic, which I’m wearing here, there is also a textured black pair, a white faux leather pair, a blue snakeskin print fabric, metallic cork (another one I love), and a fun multicolor floral print fabric. Honestly, it’s hard to choose one! Check them out HERE. I wear size 8.5.
3. Open Toe Heels
If you have any summer weddings, graduations, or other special occasions coming up, make sure to have a pair of open toe heels like these! This silhouette is extremely versatile, working with nearly every type of dress. They also work well with skirts, jumpsuits, and jeans. This is my go-to style for special occasions.
In particular, the single strap across the toe and the slim strap around the ankle help elongate your leg line. The stacked heel on this pair makes it a bit easier to walk in compared to a shoe with a super thin heel, since the thicker heel offers more support. Last, the sole under the toe is rubber and provides some traction.
This pair is sturdy and affordable at just under $45, with 270+ reviews and 4.7 stars! It comes in some great colors, too, including nude, black, leopard print, a REALLY fun version with a metallic beaded heel and strap, and a really cute multicolor cork version. Seriously fun, and again, it’s hard to choose just one! See them all HERE. I wear size 8.5. If your foot runs wider, you might want to size up.
If you want to dress up casual outfits this summer, or if you have upcoming special occasions, definitely check out some of these shoes! I also rounded up some more in the widget below:
