Huge thanks to Macy’s and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post
The holidays can be such a whirlwind! Once Thanksgiving hits, it feels like the holiday activities are nonstop. If you’re looking to get ahead of the craziness, today I’m partnering with Macy’s and ShopStyle to share three outfits for holiday parties!
Whether you’ve got casual family-friendly gatherings, work events, or dressy casual parties in the calendar, Macy’s has something for you. I love the variety of pieces they have, and I love that you can get great quality pieces at very affordable prices. Plus, Macy’s is running 20% off their Black Friday Preview with code SCORE from 11/21-11/26 so you can save even more!
Today’s post is full of comfy, stretchy pieces that look polished and put together. You know I’m ALL ABOUT THAT and can’t wait to share!
SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes, 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
Outfit #1: Casual Friends Gathering or Low Key Work Party
First up is a laid back outfit with a comfy, loose tunic sweater and stretchy skinny pants that feel like leggings. The whole outfit is really comfy, but adding leopard print pumps or booties elevates it. Wear this to a low key holiday work party or a gathering with friends. I’d wear this to my church small group’s Friendsgiving or Christmas potluck because it’s usually chaotic with all our young kids running around the house, and this is comfy and easy to move in!
This tunic sweater is only available at Macy’s and is really soft and comfortable with a great relaxed vibe. It’s great with jeans, but even better with leggings! I know you all looooove tops you can wear with leggings, and this one is only $17.99 right now (!!) and comes in 8 colors! See them HERE. I’m wearing Berry Jam in size S.
Note that the tunic is very oversized with fitted arms but a lot of extra material on the sides. If you need something with more shape to flatter your figure, this will probably not be great for you. If loose, drapey things are your jam, check it out!
I paired it with stretchy skinny pants I showed in a recent post on How to Wear Ankle Boots for Work. These are another item exclusive to Macy’s that are very stretchy, thick, and comfy with a wide elastic waistband, pull-on style. They’re on sale for $33.66! Check them out HERE. I wear size 4, they run large.
Lastly, I added leopard print booties! These are expensive, but feel well-made and very comfortable with their super low kitten heel and comfy cushioned footbed. Last time I showed these booties, people remarked that the heel looked uncomfortable because it is so skinny. The cushioned footbed combats that, which is why investing in well-made shoes is very important! These come in leopard print, solid black suede, black leather, and grey suede HERE. I wear size 8.5.
Outfit #2: Holiday Work Party
Here’s a look that is set for a day at the office but nods to the holidays with the beautiful green top. I showed this top in burnt orange recently, and I liked it so much that I got it in green also. The green color is SO MUCH PRETTIER in person than on Macy’s site! This top is created just for Macy’s, is on sale for under $25, and comes in 16 colors! See them HERE. I’m wearing Highland Green in size S.
This blazer is SUPER stretchy and comfy! It’s an easy piece to wear all day and still look sharp and like you’re ready to get business done. Just note it has no lining and no pockets. It runs large. I’m wearing size S and might have been able to size down to XS as it’s roomy in the torso. It’s under $28 right now and comes in 3 colors HERE.
Outfit #3: Dressy Casual
Last, I put together a dressy casual outfit with jeans, a sparkly top, and berry colored bookends to finish it off. A little sparkle always feels festive without being over the top, know what I mean?
To finish off the outfit, I went with this VERY comfy maroon moto jacket! It’s SUPER stretchy and soft and has a great, close fit. Not too boxy or bulky. It comes in 5 colors. See them HERE! I wear size S.
If you’re looking for quality pieces to wear through out the holiday season and beyond, check out some of these finds! What upcoming holiday gatherings do you have in the calendar?
