So, let’s talk outfit ideas for July 4th! Whether you want super low-key outfits or something a little dressier, there are some cute options for you that will not only work for the holiday weekend but will work for pretty much any summer activity. 👏🏽
SIZING: I’m 5’6” and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
Outfit #1
First up is this ADORABLE red top with ruffle sleeves and embroidered trim! It’s lightweight, and the elastic at the waist gives the top structure and shape, while the rest floats away from your body and gives you some much welcome airflow. This top is GREAT for a nicer casual look for summer, and while you can wear it pretty much any day this summer, the red is especially great for a Fourth of July BBQ. I LOVE this top, and it makes it so easy to feel cute but casual with denim shorts! Check it out, HERE. I wear size S.
I paired it with these High-Waisted O.G. Jean Shorts, which are a nice medium blue wash. They are fairly thick which helps hold things in a little more securely, but they still feel pretty easy. They feel like they’ll soften up even more over time, too. See them HERE. I wear size 8.

Instead of a standard basic tank top, step it up with a cotton tank with lots of cute details like this one! This handkerchief tank top is very lightweight and flowy so you can stay cooler in the summer while looking stylish. Opting for a tank like this one instantly elevates your outfit without being overly dressy, so you could wear this for a lot of different activities, from a BBQ with friends to a picnic at the park to outdoor concerts, and more!
You could pair the tank with standard blue denim shorts, or you could create a fresh look with white denim shorts instead. This pair is made of thinner material that is fairly soft and lightweight, though it isn’t see through at all. It has a slightly longer inseam of 5″ and a leg opening of 11.5″ when laid flat. For an outfit with an even more relaxed and easygoing vibe, try this Live Free t-shirt! It is incredibly soft, so you’ll be super comfortable while you celebrate! Pull it together by tying the bottom into a knot and adding a little jewelry, like earrings or a cuff. Find the tee HERE. I’m wearing size M which is fairly oversized on me without the knot.

You could pair this tee with medium wash denim shorts or the white shorts from the previous outfits, or you can go with dark blue Bermuda shorts like I’m doing here.
