Three Olive Green Pants Outfits – Dressed Up and Down for Work and Casual Style

Three Olive Pants Outfits for Work and Casual

3 Ways to Wear Olive Green Pants

Huge thanks to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post

I know you’re always looking for ways to make the most of your wardrobe, so today I’m partnering with Nordstrom and ShopStyle to share three olive green pants outfits! Olive green pants are a staple in my wardrobe. They’re great for changing things up from standard neutral colors, because olive is a pseudo-neutral, so it can act as a neutral and is actually really versatile! Bonus points for a pair you can dress up for work and down in casual outfits!

Like I’ve said many times before, Nordstrom is one of my favorite places to shop because I find LOTS of comfy clothes there. Like, for work, casual wear, everything! Plus, it’s VERY easy to shop since Nordstrom offers free shipping and free return shipping on all orders. Ordering online can be tricky, so I appreciate that I can always order multiple sizes with Nordstrom to find my best fit and return for free the ones that don’t work. You can also order online and use the curbside pickup service. And, if you’re a member of The Nordy Club, you get perks, like earning points on your orders and receiving store credit for using their alterations services. Check out The Nordy Club HERE!

I’ll round up a few pairs of olive green pants at the bottom of this post, but the ones I’m featuring today are great. They’re COMFY with stretch throughout the legs and a stretchy waistband with an elastic strip in the back. They’re great for business casual outfits, but you can also dress them down in casual outfits. And, they come in lots of colors! They check a LOT of boxes. Scope out all the colors HERE. I’m wearing the color Lily Pad in size 4—they run large.

SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

1. Work — Blouse + Flats
First up is an easy work look that I’ve shown before, but in case you missed it, here it is! These pants are perfect for business casual work environments that are a bit more relaxed and not as corporate. Pair them with a blouse and some flats, and you’re good to go!

I recently showed how to style this top four ways HERE. I really love it with olive green pants! This top is super versatile thanks to its simple silhouette. It can be paired with a variety of bottoms (which I show in the post where I styled it four ways), as it can be partially tucked into pants or fully tucked into pants and skirts. It comes in 8 prints and 5 solid colors HERE. One note is that it narrows a bit down the torso and especially around the hips. If you have wider hips, try sizing up. I wear size M.

Keep the outfit feeling light by adding nude flats. Be sure to finish it off with a necklace!

2. Work — Blouse + Blazer + Pumps
While these pants aren’t super sharp like typical trousers, you can dress them up a bit for a meeting or a presentation by adding a blazer.

You can’t tell from these pictures, but the top, blazer, and pants are all REALLY COMFY!

The top is soft and SUPER stretchy. It’s not just a stretchy, shapeless top, though. It has some details and construction that give it shape, like a v-neckline, cinching at the bust, and a little peplum at the bottom. Those details elevate the top in addition to helping shape and frame your body. It’s rare to find tops with shape that are super soft and stretchy, so if this shape works with your figure, definitely give this top a shot. Plus, it’s only $29!! This top comes in two prints and solid black. Check them out HERE. I wear size S. (If you’re not sure if this shape works with your figure, just order it to try. Nordstrom offers free shipping and free return shipping on all orders in the U.S., so I often just order things to see since I can easily return them.)

This blazer is on the pricier side, but it is very comfortable and easy to wear. It’s fully lined, but it is very lightweight, has a bit of stretch and give so that you can move around in it easily, and it’s NOT stiff at all! Plus, it has some shape to it, nipping in at the waist, in addition to cuuuute ruching at the sleeves. One note is that it runs slightly on the shorter side at only 25″, so it may not be great if you have a really long torso. For sizing, I’m between sizes, so I’d encourage you to order multiple sizes and utilize Nordstrom’s free return shipping to send back whichever size doesn’t work. I’m wearing size M above, but it is slightly roomier in the torso than I’d like. Size S fits well in the torso but is ever-so-slightly too tight across my shoulders. This is also available in white. Check out the blazer HERE.

3. Casual — T-shirt + Sneakers or Sandals + (Denim Jacket)
Last, dress down these pants seamlessly by pairing them with a t-shirt and slip-on sneakers or sandals. Easy peasy! If you need another layer, throw on a denim jacket—they always work with colored pants.

This works with pretty much any t-shirt, and above I’m wearing a striped one. I LOVE this tee’s vintage vibe with its black collar and faded stripes. It’s really softworks well in a loose tuck, and can be knotted. Unfortunately, it is currently limited in sizing, but see if you can snag yours HERE. I wear size S. There is a fairly similar one HERE.

As for the denim jacket, if you’ve been around PMT for a while, you know I always talk about the KUT from the Kloth Helena jacket in the color Sweet. It is SO comfy, stretchy, and lightweight—the most comfortable denim jacket I’ve tried. Unfortunately, that one is currently sold out in the color Sweet. (However, it’s available in other washes HERE.)

But, I’m happy to say I found a GREAT (and possibly better?) similar option! The jacket I’m wearing above is also by Kut from the Kloth, but it’s slightly different and called the Amelia jacket. I really, really like this wash. If any of you found the Helena jacket in Sweet to be a little too faded for your coloring, this Amelia jacket might work better! It is still a lighter wash, but it is slightly darker with more blue. And, it is just as stretchy, comfy, lightweight, and easy to wear! Check it out HERE. I wear size M.

There you go! Those are some olive green pants outfits you can try. And, if you’ve looking for comfy work pants that you can also dress down for casual outfits, definitely check out the pair from today’s post!
