Style Challenge #4 – Try a New Hairstyle

Ugggghhhhh this week’s challenge.  Not my favorite!  But, definitely necessary.  (Closeup of the braid in my hair below.)  Like I said, I opted for a braid with a ponytail, but for me it was not as easy to do as Kate’s video made it seem.  No matter how much hair I put into the braid, no matter how much I pulled the braid out to loosen it and make it bigger, and even though I did a dutch braid to try to make the braid stick out more, this was the best and most prominent I could get it!  Some of you on Instagram suggested texture spray, which I think will probably be the key.  I’ll keep trying, but…ughhhh!!!

Anyway, judging from #PMTstylechallenge on Instagram, YOUR hair all looks REALLY FREAKING CUTE!  And thank you for doing the challenge.  It gave me the motivation I needed to explore a new hairstyle, and for me it opened the door for more things to try.  Even though these are the tiniest, slightest variations of a ponytail, I see them as small and necessary steps for myself to bigger and better….hair.  Hopefully yes, with some texture spray.  ðŸ˜‰

On a happier note…I love my new chunky cardigan!  I’ve worn it with regular skinny jeans and boots, a blue collared button up and black jeans, and I plan to wear it in a black and white look with white jeans.  Yesterday I paired it with quilted sneakers and maroon jeans for a casual outfit for a meeting at my house where I sat on the ground accompanying Addie who was lying on the floor.
