Style Challenge #3: Copy an Outfit You Pinned

I said I would probably copy a few Pinterest outfits this week, which I did, but this was the only one I could photograph because this week has been pretty busy.  I recreated this pin to interview another candidate for our organization.  I’m cringing at how strange my hair looks thanks to some rain that day and how the blazer looks kinda funky since we didn’t have time to be attentive to details or fix it thanks to said rain.  (We literally took these pictures in under 1 minute.  All of them!)  BUT, I liked the idea of navy with cobalt.  I don’t think I would have thought of it myself because I would be worried that cobalt and navy are too close together.
That’s one thing I love about copying outfits–I kind of feel like I’ve been given “permission” to do it, so to speak.  And something about someone else saying it’s okay to do it makes me feel more confident about it, even if people around me may not think so!  The other couple of outfits I copied this week were made up of all neutrals or all basics, which is something else that’s hard for me to do.  I often think I’m lacking in style if I do an outfit of all basics and neutrals, but if someone else says it’s okay then I’m like, “Okay then!  Game on!”–especially if Pinterest told me to.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m pretty sure Pinterest told me it’s okay to eat ice cream for dinner, so I need to take care of that stat.

I love it. Sucker for polka dots!

I tried a post that's very much your style on my blog today, and I'm so proud about what you can do with a small wardrobe (I styled 30 outfits with 10 pieces). Please have a look, and thank you for inspiring me to think out of the box!

Gorgeous, I try doing this all the time – at least once per week. It's amazing how easy it is to recreate looks from your own closet!

I love this combination! Like you, I probably would have been too scared to try it myself due to the whole proximity on the color wheel thing. It turned out so cute!

Yea, you should try the Achilles Shield from
They protect the back, Achilles tendon area of your heels and they can't fall off because they're anchored underneath your foot.

What do you recommend for this- i have apair of peep toe shoes that are half size too big. I put two heel grips and it is still a tad loose. I put one ball of foot cushion from payless and it was squeezing my foot. I dont know what to do!

I don't use Pinterest much for outfit inspirations although I pin a bunch of them. Finally got to put them to use 🙂

Hope to see you for TBT Fashion link up.

My problem is that I have a high heeled pair of strappy sandals but my toes over hang the end. Is there something that can be done for that?
