Spring + Summer Wedding Attire – Reviews and Options

My brother’s getting married this week! I’ve been keeping my eye out for bump-friendly dresses to wear for the wedding, whether found in the maternity section or not.  Preferably not, since it’s always ideal to be able to wear clothes post-baby, but I’m up for anything that would fit over my bump!  Plus, we’ve got 3 more weddings this summer, so that’s really put me on the lookout for dresses.

A while back I showed this dress on Instagram as the first dress I explored.  You can see all the colors of the maternity version here.  And here are links to two non-maternity versions of it: a) neutral colors and b) “fashion” colors.  (Sounds so silly!)

It’s suuuuper roomy with lots of material to grow, though for some reason I don’t have confidence that it’d be that flattering with a bigger bump. Even right now it looks a little wide on me, but it nips in nicely with a belt. (Forgot to take pics of that.)  I’d probably accessorize it with a simple metallic belt and cuffs.

Runs pretty large–I got it in XS. And the zipper gets stuck in a very annoying and frustrating way. Like, sometimes I’m worried I won’t be able to get it unstuck. Otherwise, cute dress!

This second dress is this non-maternity mint dress from SheInside. It’s got an empire waist and flowy skirt which fits nicely over the bump…at least at my bump’s current size.  I know that I’ll be able to wear it post-baby too, and it’s suuuuper cheap.  (For sizing help, follow the detailed measurements on the product page.)
I’d pair this with different accessories of course…like probably that gold belt and blingin’ statement necklace.

Other Maternity Wedding Attire Options
After I posted the first Target dress on Insta, a few people recommended I check out ASOS.  I checked out H&M’s maternity wear online too.  ASOS has a pretty large maternity section and while I didn’t feel like any of the dresses were right for me there are some great options!
