My Favorite Shoes for Spring

Spring Shoes
Spring Shoes
Out of all the shoe options for all the seasons, I think spring shoes are my favorite.  In colder months, my shoe choices get whittled down to boots and booties, but in the spring there are so many more options to play with!

Today’s posts highlights some of my favorite spring shoes.  Almost all of them have been my favorites for several years, so if you’re thinking about any of them, know they’ve had lasting power!

Lightweight Wedges
I LOVE these neutral wedges and wear them well into the summer.  The lighter tan is great for keeping outfits light and airy.

These wedges are super comfy but since they’re a couple years old, they’re not available anymore.  UGG makes new versions every year with the same comfy cork footbed and/or sole.  The cork makes the shoe really lightweight and flexible, which is why they’re so comfy.  I would usually never wear a heeled shoe for hours of errands, but I never hesitate to do that in these.  This year there are similar versions are HEREHERE and HERE.

Wedges With a Thick Strap
This is my other favorite pair of wedges, and I wear them most often when I want something bolder than the UGG pair above.  Whereas I like how the UGG wedges keep outfits light and airy, I use this pair when I need to anchor outfits.

These are from Old Navy several years ago, and I get asked about them every single time I post them.  Unfortunately they’ve never been restocked at Old Navy.  🙁  There are a few similar ones HERE and HERE that you could try.  There’s also THIS pair that I’ve heard is ridiculously comfortable from multiple other bloggers.  I’ve been curious to try them because of how many people rave about them!  Anyway, anything with a wider strap that stands out more than the UGG pair will do!

Leopard Flats
Leopard flats are a closet staple for me.  I love wearing them with an outfit full of all solid pieces to add some visual interest with a print.  They’re also great for pattern mixing with stripes and gingham!  See ways I’ve worn mine HERE.

Peep Toe Booties
A perforated peep toe bootie is nice alternative to the heavy look of booties for the fall and winter.  This is the only pair of shoes in this post that’s new from this year.  They are SO cute and fairly comfy for being from Target—especially having a wooden heel!  See them in tan and in black HERE.

Nude Flats
I have two pairs of nude shoes: 1) soft leather ballet flats (THESE) and 2) the pointy toe patent finish pair above.  While the ballet flats are extremely comfortable, I wear the pointy toe patent finish pair way more.  They are the perfect shoe to wear when I don’t know what else to wear!  They keep outfits light and springy, and I love how the pointy toe polishes off looks.

I’ve been asked a lot about my flats which are from last year and not available.  Plus they have gotten crease marks in them because they’re cheap from Old Navy.  I found a very, very similar pair that is better quality and still fairly affordable HERE.  I ordered my usual sizes 8.5 and 9, but I felt they still ran a little small and need to reorder a 9.5.  I’d recommend sizing up at least a half size, if not more.

There is another pointy toe pair that’s a matte finish instead, available HERE.

Blush Flats
I’ve had these for 2 years and have been pleasantly surprised how much I still love and wear them!  They are perfect for bookending with any of my blush tops, but I also love wearing them for a subtle pop of color with an outfit full of neutrals.  I especially love them with white and grey!

Colored Flats
Earlier this week I showed how to use colored shoes to make an outfit pop (HERE).  My go-to pair is the orangey-red pair above.  While long, long ago I preferred on a saturated red shoe, lately I’ve preferred a softer and more muted orange red.  There is a similar pair HERE.
I’ve also always loved a yellow flat.  (See ways I’ve worn some HERE.)  This spring I’ve shown a few posts with a pair of pointy toe yellow flats (THESE), and while I like them, they’re a bit too ornate for me to wear super often.  I prefer something simpler, based on someone’s recommendation in the PMT Challenges Facebook group, I recently got THESE.  They’re an inexpensive option from Amazon.  They are lightweight and fairly flexible, and the mustard is brighter in person than online, in a good way.  They’re very cute in person!
