Are yall ready to ring in the New Year? New Year’s Eve outfits can range from really dressy to really casual and can be really sparkly and flashy or even sometimes more formal. I typically like dressing up jeans with some sparkle, and today I’m partnering with ModCloth to show two ways you can do it this NYE! One is a more subtle way and another is a bit bolder. And in case you’ve got a fancier party to go to, at the end of this post I’ve created a few additional New Year’s Eve outfits for ya!
ModCloth has some really unique and fun pieces, which is why I look to them when I want to add life into my wardrobe. It also means they have fantastic things for special occasions like NYE! However, amidst all their unique pieces, they also have some “elevated basics” that are a step up from a boring piece but not over the top at all (like the black top I’m wearing in this post, which I’ll talk about below.) Those types of pieces are really great for a remixable closet!
Sparkly Accents
First up is this black and gold outfit, which I LOVE! An all-black outfit is the perfect backdrop for a bunch of sparkly pieces. This incorporates plenty of sparkle, but in subtle ways that you could do even when it’s not NYE.
This black top is a new addition to my closet, and though it’s understated and may not look like much in these pictures, I’ve been really pleased with it! It’s a dressier option that’s still simple and very versatile. You can wear it out like this, dress it down with bootcut jeans, pair it with slacks of any color for the office, or tuck it into a sequined skirt or a gold pleated skirt for a sassy outfit. I’m wearing it in Medium. See it HERE.
These sparkly shoes are from my recent post on Holiday Cocktail Party Outfits and totally close out today’s outfit with jeans! They are more comfortable than I expected with flexibility at the toe. I would still put an insole in them for extra comfort, but I do that with basically any pair of heels. You can find my shoes HERE, but there’s also a similar pair that is a bit cheaper HERE.

Sparkly Statement Piece
This is the same exact base as above but it’s a bolder outfit with this sparkly statement blazer! This piece is super fun and makes for a great New Year’s Eve outfit with jeans! Yall know that I’m not a super crazy dresser, so this piece was juuuust at the edge of my comfort zone. However, the longer I wore it to take these pictures, the more it grew on me! After a bit, I was like, “I could really do this!” ? I mean, NYE is a great excuse to wear some sparkle and be a little more outrageous than you normally would be, right? Check out this sequined jacket HERE.

MORE NYE OPTIONS
In case neither of these float your boat, here are some more outfits with some beautiful pieces from ModCloth. The dress in Outfit 1 is from my post on Holiday Cocktail Party Looks. It’s expensive, and slightly itchy, but it’s gorgeous and can be used beyond NYE. I loooove the gold skirt in Outfit 2! And velvet blazers are luxurious ways to stay warmer at parties this time of year!
