Shopping Help: Riding Boots

You guys!  I’m in desperate need of a new pair of cognac riding boots.  My current pair is deader than dead, and while it’s not at all riding boot weather here in San Diego, I’m going to colder parts for Thanksgiving.  I’m so used to having my trusty riding boots that I’d feel naked without a pair in tow this Thanksgiving.  Ahhhhhh!
I’ve been looking since last season and tried like 6 pairs at Macy’s the other day with no luck.  (I couldn’t take pics and do reviews of them because the lighting was bad and every boot looked the same in pics.  Boo.)  Why is it so hard to find the right pair?  Or maybe I’m just incredibly picky.  (Probably the latter.  Don’t answer that)
In case you’re in the same boat, here are some boots I’ve either tried or ordered but haven’t tried yet.
Warning: Riding boots are one of the items I budget the most for, so the price point for these is a lot higher than what I typically feature here.
I tried these on and they would be perfect EXCEPT the color is more dull than it appears in pictures, and I’m looking for something a bit more saturated.  Otherwise, the fit was comfortable, true to size or maybe slightly big, the buckles are sleek, and the heel is made of all rubber.  And it actually fit my calves well, thanks to the elastic in the back.  If you’re not picky about color, and especially if your build is roughtly the same as mine, give these a go.
2.  Naturalizer – Jovana  //  Other options:  Nordstrom Rack (best price)  |  Famous Footwear (more sizes)
I’m not sure what the difference is between these and the pair above, but I ordered them to find out.  I’m hoping the color is different from the Jersey boot, though I don’t know why it would be since it’s the same company and same name for the color.  But, I had to at least try, right?!
I wanted to love these, but I didn’t love them on ME.  I still think they’re great boots.  The ankles and calves were wider than I wanted, as I’m looking for a sleeker fitting boot.  I love the color, though–a little lighter and more tan than brown.
I haven’t tried these yet, but they are ordered and on their way to my house.  Apparently they’re a customer favorite.  I like that there is some detailing on the sides and near the top–something I was looking for that I loved about my current dying pair of boots.  I don’t know about the color, so I’m anxious to see them in person.
I really like the color, though it’s a little darker in person than online.  The ankle is pretty narrow on this boot, which I appreciated.  The shaft is on the taller side (which is why it didn’t work for me, unfortunately).  The heel is plastic with a rubber lining on the bottom, but since the entire thing isn’t rubber I didn’t find them as comfortable to walk in as the Naturalizers.  I love how they look though, so I’m sad they didn’t work for me!

Another pair I ordered but haven’t tried yet.  They have great reviews online, and a TON of them.  The shaft looks a little too tall for me so I’m not getting my hopes up, but I wanted to try them anyway to see what all the fuss was about.  The color also looks great!

Anyone else in the market for cognac or tan riding boots and have any leads for pairs with shorter shafts and medium/narrow ankles (roughly 15″ shaft and 14-15″ circumference)?  What brand are your favorite tan/cognac riding boots?
