Shopping Help: Cardigans (That Aren’t Super Thin)

Tis the season for cozy cardigans!  Don’t you just love being wrapped up in a cozy sweater cardigan?  I’ve had this one for maybe 3 years(?) and it continues to be my go-to layering piece each season.  That trend won’t stop either since cardigans are a nursing mom’s best layering friend.  (As opposed to a pullover…)
I’ve rounded up a few cozy cardigans.  They’re not all super thick, but range from medium to thicker, with a couple being wool.
Almost all come in several different colors.
Boyfriend Cardi: Option 1   |  Option 2  |  Option 3
These are standard long cardigans, and I personally love the boyfriend cardi especially for fall because they layer really nicely over plaid and chambray button ups.  I love the color in Option 1, and it comes in a bunch of other colors.  Option 2–one reviewer said it was surprisingly warmer and thicker than they thought it’d be.  And Option 3 seems fuzzy!  Both 2 & 3 come in black too.
Cozy Open Cardi: Option 4  |  Option 5  |  Option 6  |
The open front ones are usually even a little more oversized than standard button up cardigans, which again is great for layering.  They all come in multiple colors.  I have #6 in maroon and it’s while it’s not terribly thick, it’s soft and cozy without being too heavy.
Waterfall Cardi: Option 7  |  Option 8  |  Option 9
These asymmetrical or waterfall cardigans or whatever you call them add a great dimension to your looks.  Option 8 comes in a lot of great neutrals like navy, maroon, black, and medium grey.  Option 9 is made of a mohair and wool blend.

Textured Cardi: Option 10  |  Option 11  |  Option 12

Textured cardigans are also a great way to add detail and dimension to your outfit without needing a crazy pattern.  I reallyyyyy love Option 10, and it comes in 4 different colors.  Option 11 also comes in several colors, the rest of which aren’t patterned but are solid.  And the cable knit detail on Option 12 is perfect for fall/winter.

I just added Option 6 in maroon to my cardigan collection because the beige one I linked to is the only one I have and after 3 fall/winters it deserves some relief!

What’s your favorite, go-to cardigan?
