Next up…I had some credit for Zappos, so I decided to go all out and try some designer jeans. One of our very brand-conscious guy friends swears by designer jeans feeling and fitting so much better than cheaper jeans. While I usually roll my eyes at him about his brand snobbiness he made me very curious to experience the difference for myself with designer jeans. Actually, I honestly don’t know what counts as designer jeans because I’m not cool enough to know the difference, but anything over $100 is designer in my mind! 😛
I tried DL1961 Emma Leggings which are technically jeggings I guess, but they feel thick enough to be normal jeans. Just softer and stretchier. Or is the softness because they’re so expensive and “designer”? No idea, but OMG they are wonderful!
They’re extremely flattering on the rear and really all over. They make you look slim and trim! And they hold their shape through out the day! This wash has somewhat of a faded vintage feel to it (slightly), which I’m not sure is what I was looking for. I’ll probably try the “bloom” darker wash instead.
I’m wearing these in 29, even though Nordstrom’s True Fit size thingy told me I’d be 28. Seriously guys, they fit like a glove. Like, they magically mold to your body in the most flattering way. Okay, I’m not sure if that’ll be the case for you, but it’s definitely true for me! Some other reviewers both on Zappos’ and Nordstrom’s site say the same thing though!
Do any of you wear expensive jeans? What differences have you noticed? This is only my first pair of $100+ jeans, so I don’t have much data to compare with my normal under $50 jeans. But, so far so good!
