This is probably one of my favorite dresses because it’s just easy to wear.  It goes with a lot of different colors and it fits well, plus…see those ruffles on the top half of this dress?  For someone like me who doesn’t mind a little boost in that area, ruffle-front dresses (and tops) are great for adding volume to help fill out your top half.  The ruffles on my dress cover the whole top panel of the dress, but if you want to add volume to your bust and you’re worried about adding volume to your midsection try something with ruffles only at the bust, like option three below.
And if you don’t want to add extra volume up top, the bottom row below has non-ruffled dress options.
Have you tried any ruffled pieces, and do they work for your body?  My guess is that it’s not really about what size you are but more about your shape and the proportions of your body’s top and lower halves, but I’m not sure about that so I’m curious to hear from you guys.

I have this dress! Thanks for another idea on how to wear it, it does have many colors to pull from. The ruffles do add a sweet detail and balance my larger bottom half!

Love this color of cardigan and belt with the dress! I'm hour glass shaped with a larger bust so tend to avoid ruffles.

Love your dress! The number 7 link in the collage isn't right though – goes to the number 3 dress.

Really love the colours. No ruffles for me top or bottom as I'm curvy and short!

You have such an eye for Target things that I would initially bypass as being too young or twee. You see the potential in items and tweak them to suit your own style and I totally admire that about you. It's what keeps me coming back for more. 🙂

I like ruffles even though my body structure – wide, linebacker shoulders and mommy bosom – dictates that I shouldn't wear it. 🙁

I love ruffles. As someone who has a bit of a pooch, ruffles are the best thing ever for disguising it! 🙂

I have this exact dress. I wear mine with a coral cardigan and nude pumps. It's also one of my favorites. The fit is very flattering.

I find that ruffles can be great to hide things as well as add dimension. I am sure this is why peplum came back. But, I like ruffles on the chest area because as a larger chested woman I feel that it conceals more than extends.

I have trouble with ruffles because…well…I have boobs. And hips. And a butt. And broad shoulders. So anything that adds volume to my frame, I generally shy away from. Plus I'm just not a very frou-frou girl. I'd choose a simple, well-cut piece of clothing in a pattern over something with ruffles. Just my thing. 🙂

Great point about the ruffles… maybe that's why I look so bad in them ? Wish I could share some with you!! 😉 You are always beautiful, but I love you in these colors.

I used to wear ruffles up-top until I had my daughter…now ruffles up-top make me look bigger cause my chest is bigger. Which bums me out because I loved the top-ruffles!
I didn't realize that some clothing options weren't gonna be the best option for a new mama!
Love the belt with the dress. 🙂

I love ruffles! I wore this pretty dress on my blog last week and I love it! I don't really need help in that area but the ruffles are still very pretty and add some interesting detail to the top half of the dress.

Oooh, lovely outfit, Audrey! I love ruffles, and even though I'm quite busty, I wear them anyways (I LOVE THEM!). They're just flirty and fun and girly! You look so gorgeous in that aqua color 🙂

I really like this dress and how you paired it with the cardi + belt.
I have this dress 😀 So I look fwd to really copying your style 😉

I love ruffles, I think they add a nice feminine touch to clothes and help by not having to worry about jewelry (since most are in the collar/neck area).

I have a question and I wasn't sure where to post it. Have you ever thought about using tags or labels with your posts? I've used it on my blog, and I've often wished that you would. In case you don't know how it works (and if you do, excuse my explanation), you tag each post and it shows up in a list or a group on the side of your blog. So if I wanted to see all your posts with colored jeans or colored bottoms, I could click that tag and it would bring up all the posts that you labeled that way. Just a thought, because I've often thought "Should I buy those colored pants? Let me see all the ways Audrey has worn them" but there's no quick way to get to those posts. Or, if you already have something like this, how do I use it?

Hey Genie! That was the #1 request from the recent survey I took. I used to tag all of my posts, but when Blogger switched formats I completely forgot about them (they're a little out of sight now compared to before), and by the time I even remembered they existed I had sooooo many posts to tag that I didn't want to bother tagging them. And I didn't think anyone would use them at that point. But since so many people asked for it on the survey I am going to tag them…it's just that with about 1+ years of posts to catch up on it's kind of a daunting and tedious task. If I had an intern to do it for me, it would be done by now! 🙂

But for now, if you are on Go Chic or Go Home many of my outfits are posted on my board, and if they're not yet, I tend to post them in batches. You can check my outfits that way for now. The second way it can be done is if you go to my GCOGH pieces and click on a specific piece, like red jeans, then you can see all the ensembles I've created with them–both outfits I've already worn AND outfits I am planning to wear.

I want to wear something like this for Mother's Day. I really love wearing ruffles on the bodice because it balances out my "lack thereof" in that department with my hips. HA. You look lovely and I really like how the brighter cardi pulls out that specific color in the dress.
