Printed Pants for Work

After a 1.5 year hiatus, these printed pants finally get to see the light of day.  I was pregnant for a lot of that time, but still.  Shortly after giving birth many of my clothes thankfully fit, but since these pants don’t have stretch at the waistband their longevity in my closet wasn’t looking good.  Unsure if I’d ever be able to fit them again I thought I might have to give them away.  But here we are!  *victory dance*

While these pants are trousers and I’ve primarily styled them in work looks, I have worn them once casually.  (See all outfits with these pants HERE.)  This spring I styled them with pastel accessories–my new light pink pendant (that really looks light purple sometimes), and greyish purpleish pumps.  Never did I think I’d be into pastels.  But never say never.  Except I say it all the time and eat my words and pride later!  When will I learn?

(I don’t know if the a watch with a black band was the best option, but I still have not resized the gold watch I got for Christmas, so there’s that.  If you agree with me, just pretend the watch isn’t there, alright?  ðŸ™‚  )

Anyway, I’ve seen pants like these back in stores, especially a navy pair at Old Navy that’s no longer online but may still be in stores.  However, what’s out there right now seems to not be trousers but more the soft pajama type pants.  I think a look like this would still work if paired with heels and another accessory so as to not look like you’re wearing pajamas.  And, unlike mine, you might just get a comfy elastic waistband!
