Pink and Purple (Style Challenge #5)

I’ve gotta be honest. I care very little about Valentine’s Day. Yep, I said it! Except the part about chocolates, of course. I’d be a fool to reject those.

That said, this is not my Valentine’s Day outfit. I did, however, wear it to a wedding last weekend.

I showed this top with a black leather skirt for another wedding back in October. (Needed nursing-friendly blah blah blah.) It feels a little silly to compare the outfits because the silhouettes are pretty much the same and I mostly changed the color of the skirt. But, wow, what a difference!

It makes me really appreciate a floral top. They’re generally thought of as pieces for spring, but whether they are dark based or lighter based they can be worn in both cooler and warmer weather. Just pair them with darker or lighter and brighter colors according to how much sunshine there is around you, and there you go. 🙂

I really like most of the ones below, like loooove 3, 4, 5, and 6. But I’m completely eyeing #4! I *think* it’s the exact top I’m wearing but in a different print, and man oh man, I really like all that blue. So stinking cute, and it would definitely work year round. (As long as you’re warm enough. Sorry to our cold climate friends!)
