Pattern Mixing With Stripes and Buffalo Plaid

I’m not crazy about pattern mixing, but for me, buffalo plaid and stripes felt like a natural fit.  Kinda in love. *insert heart eye emoji*

I’m also super duper in love with this striped top with the little peplum at the bottom.  It’s become my new go-to striped top for this season so far!  (Please excuse the wrinkles.  I wore this on a travel day, and that’s what happens when you’re cooped up in a car for a couple of hours.)  The peplum gives it that extra special something while still being discreet.

It comes from a super cute shop called Gray Monroe that I was introduced to when I met the owner, Jenny, at a conference.  I was caught by how stylish she looked, and when I found out she owned a clothing shop it made total sense!  I LOVE the stuff at Gray Monroe because like this striped top with a peplum addition, many of Gray Monroe’s items are “basics with a twist.”  When I look at Gray Monroe, I always think, “You could easily build a wardrobe from this collection.”  Plus, shipping is FREE, which is seldom the case for online shops.

Anyway, I didn’t mean to go on about Gray Monroe, but there it is!  Back to the top.  Unfortunately it’s sold out in this color, but it’s still available at Gray Monroe in navy.  I’m normally S/M in tops and wearing M here.  I kiiinda wanna get it in navy too because it’s so comfy!  I’m already picturing the navy version with a grey or tan cozy knit scarf.  *insert more heart eye emojis*
