Floral Printed Top 4 Ways

I know I’ve been talking about this top a whole lot, but I just love how easy it is to wear and that it’s totally remixable!  A few weeks ago I remixed the red printed version of it HERE, and today I’m showing four outfits with this black print!
Doing This With What You Have: If you have a printed top with a neutral base (the way this top has color in the print, but the background is a neutral black), the principles below should work similarly.
I created looks for a few different events: a casual everyday look, an outfit for an office or work, and a couple of dressy-casual looks.
Everyday Look – Lunch w/ Friends
To deviate from skinny jeans, I paired the top with cognac accessories and my super duper comfortable must-have bootcut jeans.  I love wearing these tan cutout earrings, cognac wedges, and laser cutout bag together—especially with my bootcut jeans.  Together they make a standard jeans + blouse outfit feel a little boho and really help define the outfit.

Going Out
My go-to pairing for going out is a faux leather jacket, a statement necklace, some heels, and skinny jeans.  If that combo isn’t in your back pocket yet, try it sometime.  It’s easy, and it never fails!
I love the contrast of this dark top with white jeans, and a faux leather jacket and metallic necklace are great additions that give a floral top some edge.

Going Out #2
I wore this outfit for a normal day doing work from a cafe.  However, with these open toe heels, it’s on the dressier side and could totally be worn for going out for friends.
Printed tops are great for mixing and matching—especially ones with a neutral colored base like how this one has a black base.  You can do a lot with printed tops as you can easily pull out colors from the print and use them in accessories and shoes.  In this outfit I pulled out the green from the print and paired it with olive green pants.  I also echoed the greyish blues and pale pinks with pale grayish purpleish heels.

For the Office
This top pairs perfectly with a staple pair of black slacks, but a black top with black slacks can feel a lackluster, even if the top is printed.  To bring the outfit to life a little more, I bookended it with colored accessories.
A note on these slacks: they are SO comfy!  They are stretchy like yoga pants, but they are thick and totally work appropriate!  Read more about them on my must haves page HERE.

These are just a few of the ways you could wear a top like this, but hopefully it gave you some good ideas!
Also, this particular top is still 40% off, making it only $25.20!  It’s backordered and already sold out in a few sizes, but check availability right HERE!  I’m normally size S/M or 6/8 and wear this in S with room to spare, but the shoulders fit me best in S.  ‘
