That Swing Dress Tho.

I totally thought I couldn’t pull off a swing dress.  I thought having some curves to my hips and a little junk in the trunk would mean I’d need more structure.  But, surprise!  Either I can wear swing dresses after all, or this Old Navy dress is just the bomb dot com.  Or both.

Turns out the key was sizing up–a lot!  I’m normally S/M and I’m wearing this dress in L without alterations.  When I put on both the S and M I was like, “Oooookay, I guess these dresses aren’t for me.”  But I tried the L just to see, and what do you know?  Perfect.

And you guys, this dress is SO COMFORTABLE.  Truly!  Because it’s a swing dress, it has extra material all around (when I sized up, at least) and for some reason that helps me feel more covered.  It’s soft and stretchy, and the material is also on the thicker side of these types of jersey dresses.  I wear a cami and slip under EVERY dress, and I actually don’t feel like I need them under this one!

It’s darker and more purple in real life.  I couldn’t get the color right in these pics, but it does look more like product page (HERE), at least on my screen.  It also comes in b/w stripes, solid black, and solid orange.

I wore this for nearly a week when I got it, mostly similar to this or with tan wedges and white accessories.
