Thank goodness for closet basics. On that one rare day I needed to look office-ready but didn’t want to buy office-y clothes because I’m pregnant and only have a couple of weeks left…enter striped dress and blazer to the rescue. Before blogging I seriously thought closet basics were a waste of money, but now I’m singing their praises!

On another note, I ordered these Old Navy pumps
and thought they’d be worth mentioning. I’ve wanted blue suede pumps for so long, and these have positive reviews online and are decently priced, so I figured I’d try them. I threw the pink ones in only to fill out the order to get free shipping, but I’m pretty in love with them as well–doh!
First of all I was pleasantly surprised to see that the blue and pink ones are darker in person than they are on Old Navy’s site. *NOTE: I tried to adjust the colors in the collage above to reflect the color in person. The color in the collage above should be truer to their color in person, which is slightly darker and more saturated than what is represented on Old Navy’s site. I’m in love with the color of both pairs!
Fit & Comfort
Online reviews claimed these to be really comfortable, especially given their price. The heel height feels sturdy and not too high. The only thing I’m not sure about is the width of the toe box because once week 38 of pregnancy hit my feet finally decided to swell and I can’t tell how much the squishy toe feeling is due to the shoe being narrow vs. my slightly swollen feet. I’m hoping it’s only my swollen feet, otherwise I’m going to be VERY sad about having to return these!
They only come in full sizes. I’m normally 8.5 to 9 and I ordered these in 9. They come in a bunch of other neutrals
as shown above. I think they’d be fantastic options for basic neutral (or colorful, in my case) pumps at a very affordable price!
