My Christmas Wish List (and Benson’s too)!

My Christmas Wish List

Hey everyone!  You might remember I did gift guides differently this year than I have in the past.  Instead of posting a million gift guides over the span of weeks on the blog like usual, I combined all my tried and true favorites in the PMT Ultimate Gift Guide.  Sign up for PMT Emails HERE to access it if you haven’t, yet!

The PMT Ultimate Gift Guide has all the items I talk about every year because they’re still good, and they’re things we’ve been using for YEARS.  But if you need a few new ideas, I’m sharing what’s on MY Christmas wish list!  I thought while we’re at it, why not throw in Benson’s too? 😊

While I would be totally content to not get any gifts, it’s kind of fun to let myself be spoiled with things that cost a little more than what I’d regularly be willing to pay.  Plus, I’ve got some family members who cannot NOT give gifts.  We all have them, right?  They’d be stressed out no matter how much we assure them we’re good without gifts, so I create a list for that reason too!

My Wish List

1. Living Proof Dry Shampoo – I bought a sample of this long ago and it is SO much better than the other dry shampoos I’ve tried.  It leaves less residue, and while I know dry shampoo doesn’t actually wash your hair, my hair felt cleaner with this compared to others.  But it’s SO expensive, and one bottle didn’t go very far, so I don’t use it regularly.  But I would happily use a bottle as a gift!

2. Pureology Shampoo – Never tried this, but have heard amazing things.  The price tag has always deterred me from trying it 😳, but I’d totally appreciate it as a gift.

3. Loungewear – I have a blog post coming out next Tuesday that will feature and review all these loungewear pieces, but I finally got myself some cute loungewear!  Up until now, my loungewear has been modern and fits well and all that, but it was mostly just plain basics.  After experiencing how fun it is to have cute loungewear (and how much better candid at-home pics w/ kids look!) I told Benson these loungewear pieces will be my Christmas gift. 😄 The pieces feel great but cost more than I’d normally pay for loungewear.  But consider them a splurge-y gift?  I’m totally down!  See them HERE, and stay tuned for Tuesday’s post!

4. T3 Curling Wand – I’ve been using a NuMe curling wand for years, but I am really interested in the T3 Curling Wand.  That price gives me sticker shock though, so on the wish list it goes. 😆

5. Madewell Leather Tote – I’ve used my Nordstrom reversible tote for YEARS, and it’s been so good to me.  But I will admit that since it is faux leather, some of it has peeled off over the years.  I was contemplating upgrading to the Madewell Leather Tote since it is genuine leather and would not have the peeling problem that faux leather does.  I almost bought it at the crazy Black Friday price, but I was still recovering and distracted from a sinus infection so I never actually pulled the trigger.  It’d be a lot easier to let go of my near and dear reversible tote if someone gave me the Madewell Leather Tote and I didn’t have to make the choice myself. In that case, the REAL gift is that someone else made the decision for me. 😂 Decision fatigue is real, y’all!

6. Beauty Blenders – I’ve said before I always either buy these during sales or request them for Christmas.  They need to be replaced regularly, so I always appreciate having more in my stock!

7. Ghiradelli’s Chocolate Squares – Get me a bag of these–or 3–and I’ll be SOOOOOO happy! 😂🍫 If any of my family members are reading this, I’ll take caramel and raspberry. (My family doesn’t read my blog, for the record. 😜)

8. Nickel & Suede – I have plenty, but if any of my family member insisted on getting gifts, I’d never be sad about getting another pair. 😁

9. Gift Certificate to Drybar – I’ve never gone but would love to try it!  I wanted to do it for my birthday, but time got away from me.  If I had a gift certificate, it’d kind of light a fire under me to make sure I eventually did it!

10. Hulu Subscription – I used to ask for this from my aunt every year, and I LOVED it.  I would have bought this for myself anyway, but instead I just asked for it for Christmas, and for years, every time I watched TV I’d think of my aunt.  I loved feeling that connection and gratitude!

Benson’s Wish List

Whereas I’m about clothes and hair products, Benson really likes tech. 😜 Truth be told, he already bought most of these things during Black Friday, which we are counting as his Christmas gifts.  Haha!

1. Cuisinart Toaster Oven – Our toaster oven is 11 years old, but is going STRONG.  However, newer ones have some capabilities that our current one doesn’t have.  We don’t NEED a new toaster oven but would totally make use of what a newer one offers.  The same way I made loungewear my “spoil myself” Christmas gift, this is Benson’s. 😆 This is one item he actually hasn’t bought yet, but it’s at the top of the list.

2. Hydro Flask Cup – We’ve had Hydro Flask water bottles, specifically the Standard Mouth water bottle and the Tumbler Cup, for years, but Benson tried this one from a coworker and fell in love.  He described it as having “the perfect lip feel,” whatever that means. 😂 His coworker bought it for him as a gift!

3. SONOS Move Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Benson’s been wanting another speaker in one corner of our house, but we finally landed on this portable one.  It’s been great to take it to other parts of the house as our family shifts through rooms.

4. Chex Mix – The same way someone could get me a bag of Ghiradelli chocolate squares and make me so happy, Benson would fully enjoy a bag of Chex Mix! If you’ve got a loved one whose love language is food, I promise you they’ll be so happy with a box full of their favorite snacks and treats. 😆

5. Kiehl’s Face Wash – Benson had been trying different face washes, so I got this for him one or two Christmases ago.  Once he finally got around to trying it, he said, “Whoa, this stuff is pretty nice!”  It’s one of those things you may not pay for yourself but totally appreciate having.

6. Books – He’s an avid reader, so he always has a huge book list.

7. Self-Regulating Heater w/ Thermostat – This heater is super quiet and gentle but heats a room quickly.  It rotates to spread the heat.  But what we love most about it is that it has a thermostat so it regulates the temperature in the room.  Meaning you could set it to 72 degrees, and once it his that, it’ll turn off.  Once it dips too low, it’ll turn on again.  Usually space heaters eventually make rooms way too hot, so I love that this one acts just like the heater/thermostat for our house but for smaller spaces! Benson has loved this thing, and it’d be a great gift for our parents!
