Mustard and Burgundy

So…I love this outfit.  I haven’t worn this top in a long, long time and I was considering getting rid of it.  But, pairing it with this color combo saved it for another round of closet clean out.  Sometimes a fresh color combo is all you need to spice up those old pieces.  I love the rich colors of fall like mustard and burgundy, and when they’re put together and given a touch of (faux) leather accents, there’s something a little luxurious about it all.  Would you wear mustard and burgundy?  Obviously you know my answer.  🙂

These yummy accent colours, mustard and burgundy, look great together and work well with neutral colours. They are close to the ones I wear for fall season. That is dijon mustard and deep fuschia.

I laughed when I saw this, because this is pretty much the exact outfit I wore for a craft fair/autumn festival this weekend! Burgundy jeans from H&M paired with a neon yellow (a little bolder than mustard, but it was perfect) long cardigan from J.Crew. I added a simple white shirt and gray flower pin. It was a hit.

Yes, I have burgundy corduroy pants and a mustard and white striped, long sleeve T

from Target (on sale last week). Love it! Wish I would have bought two of the T's because I think they will get good use.

That is actually my favorite color combo! And I just scored a pair of burgundy pants, so I can finally wear it myself! Love the navy in there, too, and how the dots just tie everything together. 🙂

Oh yes! Mustard and burgundy look great together! In fact, I love teaming up my burgundy pants with a solid sleeveless mustard tee.

I love the color combination in this outfit! I am really into navy + maroon lately, so I like the idea of adding mustard into the mix!

I think the mustard and burgundy work perfectly together! I also love that feeling when you decide to keep something and re-discover it. Then again, this makes it harder for me to part with anything.

I looove this outfit, and I would wear every piece of it – together or separate. Lately I've been all jeans + black, I really need something to pull me out of that.

I should have checked the blog yesterday! I was debating over maroon tights with a navy dress and a mustard sweater for today but I decided against it and went with a gray sweater. Something just seemed off (too many solids maybe…?), but I love your outfit, I just might have to pair them together next time!

I like how the mustard cardigan brightens up the navy & burgundy but i'm not sure the mustard color would look right on me (blonde hair, fair skin, blue eyes). Are there any other colors you would recommend?

I just ordered a mustard cardigan during the J. Crew Factory sale, so I've been looking through the archives for ways to style it. Love this outfit!

Yay! You can use this label if it's easier: Though, I haven't finished labeling all of my past posts yet. I think I've only gotten to posts about a year back. (SO many posts to go back and label!)

Yup, that's what I was using. I've already got 3 separate outfits in mind for it, so that's a good start!

I love the colors here! I like how they're all like the jewel-tone equivalent of the primary colors! I would definitely wear mustard and burgundy. I just got my first mustard-colored thing (a cardigan), and I have a pair of maroon ankle pants and a maroon sleeveless blouse, both of which I'm planning to wear with my mustard cardigan (separately…)
