Little Reminders

Man you guys, wearing light colored pants is scary.  I’m very clumsy, like the kind of person that walks into door frames on a regular basis, but I still brave light colored pants.  I just have my guard up, walk a bit slower, and move more intently to avoid accidents.  But never mind that I managed to not spill anything on these jeans (always a sigh of relief) because ashes from a stone pizza oven at the cafe I was at blew onto me and left these poor mint jeans with black smudges and spots everywhere, front and back.  And the Tide bleach pen was of no use.  BOO.  I wasn’t sure I’d be able to recover them, but thanks to some baking soda and a lot of brushing with Shout Gel Stain Remover these babies are back to their minty fresh selves!

On another note, I want to thank Lisa Leonard Designs for this beautiful necklace.  I love love love all the hand stamped customized jewelry from Lisa Leonard, but I chose this very simple dog tag necklace and customized it with “a new thing.”  Sometimes I’m inspired by quotes, stories, or names of friends, and this phrase comes from a scripture passage that has been a source of hope and encouragement for the last 8+ years.  I often play with my necklaces through out the day and when I wear this one and catch myself grabbing it I’m reminded that hope and encouragement!  Do you have pieces that serve as encouragement or inspiration like that for you?
