Lace and Utility Shorts Always Wins + 6 Utility Shorts to Try!

I saved a pin with a lace top and olive utility shorts 3 years ago, and I still love the look to this day!  The contrast of feminine lace “toughened” up with a military-inspired piece like utility shorts never gets old.

My family and I go to the zoo a couple weekends each month, and I’ve worn this outfit there several times.  My utility shorts are very, very old, and each year I actually fall more in love with them.  Olive shorts are super versatile, just like olive jeans!

My pair is very lightweight which is fantastic on hotter and more humid days.  Much better than a pair of denim shorts!  I don’t think that’s true of all utility shorts, but I did find a similar looking pair on Target’s site that looks like they might be pretty comfortable.  See it HERE.  There’s also a linen pair from Nordstrom that should be pretty lightweight with pretty good reviews HERE.
