Knit Blazer – How You Can Wear It For Almost Anything

I’ve been talking about knit blazers quite a bit lately, but that’s because the ones from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (THESE) have totally renewed them for me!  While there was a time when blazers were my go-to completer piece of choice, I haven’t worn them much since Addie was born.  But these knit blazers have me excited about blazers again!

Blazers really, really know how to pull together an outfit.  They make a simple t-shirt and jeans outfit look sharp.  You can wear them over dresses too, and they will add polish to even many summery or loosely fitting dresses.  But I’ve heard many people say they find blazers uncomfortable as they can lack stretch, be bulky or stiff stiff, and therefore be hard to move around in.
That’s where these knit blazers come in.  Knit blazers feel like sweatshirt material, but they’re the shape of blazers.  You get the comfort and flexibility that you love when you snuggle up in a sweatshirt, but the polish and utility of a blazer.  #bestofbothworlds #cuehannahmontana.  Today I’m partnering with Nordstrom again to show 3 outfits with this knit blazer!

This blazer was one of my “comfiest clothes” picks (HERE).  It comes in 5 colors, and while they are not on sale anymore, almost all of them are fully restocked!  Find them HERE.  I wear these in size small, as they ran slightly large.

The blazer is really versatile, because like I keep saying, it can be worn for a very casual day–even one where you have to move around a lot because it’s so comfortable–or for a business casual look.  The olive one I showed will probably not work for anything more professional than smart casual or the casual end of business casual, but the black or grey ones will work with more professional looks.

Onto the outfits!

Outfit 1: Errands, errands, errands!
First I styled it with jeans and a plain white tee to show how it polishes up a casual outfit.  But remember, it’s still as comfy as wearing a hoodie sweatshirt!  This is a way to “dress up” jeans and a white tee to look put together for meetings or appointments while still being completely comfortable maneuvering life with very active kids.  It’s this type of versatility that makes this knit blazer is so amazing!

BTW–I linked to a similar white tee which I really, really love and have talked about before, found HERE.

Outfit 2: Hanging Out With Friends
I showed this outfit earlier this week, but both this dress and blazer are super duper comfy–it almost feels like cheating!  I wore this out to get tacos with friends, and I literally felt like I was in pajamas.  But I also felt so stylish!

Outfit 3: Business Casual
Lastly, I wore this look for a day of work meetings last month.  Like I said earlier, I think the olive version would only work for business casual whereas the black, grey, and possibly navy would be fine for more professional looks.  The olive color is slightly faded whereas the other colors aren’t, and that makes the olive looks more casual while the others look sharper.

It’s soooo nice to have pieces that totally pull your look together but are really comfortable for any activity you’re doing, whether it’s running errands, playing with kids, hanging out with friends, or sitting in a meeting all day!  If you need a versatile piece that is super comfortable, definitely check these out!
