Instagram Outfits Roundup #9

As I’m off vacation and back at work, it definitely feels like summer has slipped away.  🙁 🙁 🙁  Except that August is usually our hottest month!  And it’s still technically summer, so I’m dressing like it as an attempt to cling on to the last bits of summer left.
If you’re new around here, I post outfits on Instagram that may never make it to the blog apart from these roundups.  If you’re not yet, follow along @puttingmetogether!
I just wrote about this top a few days ago in the reviews (HERE), but here’s it is live.  I mistakenly said it was fully lined in the front, but I guess I wrote that when I was delirious because I’m wearing it as I’m typing this, and it’s totally not lined.  I apologize.  But, it is not see-through in the front, and that’s the important part.
Anyway, the embroidery is so cute, and I’ve already gotten several compliments on it!  I’m wearing S and there’s plenty of room.  It’s still on sale, but only a couple sizes are left!  It’ll pair really well with skinny jeans or bootcut or flared jeans and wedges for the transition between summer and fall.

This top was in the recent Business Casual Capsule Wardrobe (HERE), but here it is in a more casual look.   Reviews online indicate that it wrinkles quite a lot, which I’ve found true.  Tucking it into a skirt helps hide many of the wrinkles since they tend to form on the lower half when you sit.  I love the fun yellow color, though!

Top: c/o ModCloth (exact)
Skirt: J.Crew Factory (exact–wearing size 6)

Necklace: c/o Sela Designs (similar)
This was a neutral summer look that would work well in the transition to fall.  I told you in the last review post about a similar striped dress that was from the maternity section but should and could just be a regular dress.  This is a closet staple for me, so if you’re looking for a striped t-shirt dress, don’t feel shy that the tag says “maternity”!
I get asked about this vest all the time, but it’s several years old.  However, there’s currently a similar one at Kohl’s (HERE) for under $33!  And btw, besides my watch, the vest is the most expensive item linked in this outfit.  Everything is $33 or under!
Shop for the Look:
Dress: Target (similar)
Vest: Old Navy (very similar–$33, similar)
Bag: Nordstrom (exact–sale for $26)
Shoes: Nordstrom (exact)
Necklace: Nordstrom (very similar)

This is the white version of the black dress I reviewed in Saturday’s post.  White’s not available anymore, but black and tan are (HERE)!  I love love love this white dress, but realistically I have to be more selective about when I wear it–can’t be around Addie.  I’m so excited about the black one because I can wear that around her anytime, anywhere!

Dress: Old Navy (exact)
Bag: Nordstrom (exact)
Shoes: Nordstrom (exact)
Necklace: c/o Sela Designs (similar)

This dress is an old favorite, and I have it in solid black as well.  It comes in an overwhelming 23 colors/patterns (!!) and is such an easy dress to wear.  It takes discipline for me not to buy it in more colors and patterns, haha.  If you’re already transitioning to fall, I gave tips for how to wear it in cooler weather HERE.

Hope your week is off to a great start!
