Instagram Roundup # 10 + Ankle Boots Back In Stock!!! + My Favorite Shoe Insole

Outfits, outfits, outfits!  Once in a while I do an Instagram roundup here because I often post outfits on Instagram that either never make it to the blog or could take weeks or months otherwise.  For more outfit inspiration follow along at @puttingmetogether.com!
Also, there are two other ways you can shop my Instagram outfits before they hit these blog roundups, and (I think) you don’t necessarily need to be an Instagram follower for one of them:
  1. If you’re an IG user, I use a function called LIKEtoKNOWit through which I can link to exact or similar items shown in Instagram posts, and those links can get emailed to you. Just take 30 seconds to register at www.LIKEtoKNOW.it. From then on, anytime you see a photo from anyone, not just me, tagged with @liketoknow.it, if you “like” the post, an email will be sent to you with links to shop the items. It’s super simple, and it’s nice to not have to fish for items yourself but have direct links sent right to you. (Disclosure, those links are affiliate links, so a small commission may be earned if a purchase is made through those links.)
  2. You can shop my looks from the web by going directly to my LIKEtoKNOWit page: http://liketoknow.it/puttingmetogether. You still have to register with LIKEtoKNOWit, but I’m uncertain that you need to have an IG account.
Lastly, for my photos on Instagram, if you don’t want shopping links but just want to know where items are from, I usually tag the photo with the stores I got the items from.  Tap the photo once to see them!

olive top + teal necklace + leopard print shoes
This is the olive version of my absolute favorite grey tee.  My Instagram feed has been full of olive and maroon lately, and I absolutely LOVE olive with teal!  Add a little leopard print as a final touch of pizazz and you’ve got a fun, casual, easygoing outfit.

floral top + purple skirt
I showed this top in a fun business casual outfit HERE, but here it is in an outfit for a party.  Some of our friends got engaged, so to celebrate I dressed up this pretty top with this skirt that I unbelievably scored from Target a few years ago.  It’s several years old and no longer available, but I found a similar but more purple-ish option that is under $28 HERE.

olive blazer + white tee + jeans + leopard shoes
I’ve talked incessantly about this blazer.  Here it is pulling together a simple white tee + jeans combo.  People told me on Instagram yesterday that though this blazer has very limited sizes available, it is ON SALE for $29.50!!!

polka dot dress + denim jacket + nude sandals
I blogged this dress and outfit earlier this week, but I absolutely love this look and need somewhere to wear it to!  Haha!  I’ve already professed how comfy this dress is, so I’ll spare you.
I really love adding turquoise or mint jewelry to black garments.  I feel they brighten up the garment and keep them from feeling too serious, static, solemn, or drab.  I’ve had this one from That’s Mine for a few years and continue to go back to it, and I love how it made this dress pop a little more.

fall outfit: maroon cardigan + pink top + ankle boots
Benson and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary last week, and this super casual outfit is what I wore!  I wrote on Instagram that I finally surrendered to the fact that I’d rather do special but low key stuff for celebrations rather than fancy schmancy stuff.  You need fancy sometimes, but more often than not I’d rather do normal stuff that’s a little special.
This year we ordered really yummy (and fancy) Italian food, but ordered to-go.  We took it to a scenic park that overlooks San Diego where people around us were playing Pokemon Go.  We just talked about day as we do everyday, then reflected on the year a little, talked about our continuous goals and vision for the family culture we want to create, and then prayed together.  After, we got made-to-order ice cream sandwiches.  It was one of my favorite anniversaries ever!

8 years ago–we don’t look that different!  But truly, I have looked almost the exact same since I was 14 years old.  When I was 14 everyone thought I was 18-20, and now that I’m 33 people still think I’m in my early 20s.  I’ll thank my Mom for her reverse aging genes.  (The older she gets the younger she looks!)

perfect everyday fall bag and boots
THESE BOOTS ARE BACK IN STOCK!  Yep, the ones I remixed in THIS post.  The ones that have that low shaft that I’m always looking for as it’s more flattering for my calves.  And the ones that are the perfect lighter shade that I’ve been wanting.  They’re available again in every size except 4.5.  And yes they’re available that small, so get them HERE.
I’m normally 8.5-9 and wear these in 9.  They’re not uncomfortable by themselves, but I want all my shoes extra cushioned these days because why not?  I prefer these boots with an insole for extra comfort.  My favorite and only insole that I use is THIS, and if you want to know why, read my review for them HERE.  I wrote it a year and a half ago, and I just reread it and still agree with every word!
Also, I haven’t really talked about this bag, but it’s become my go-to bag for the fall if I don’t need my very dear and most used tote (HERE).  I still love my bucket bag (shown in two pics above), but this saddle crossbody is smaller, less bulky, and lighter.  I use my bucket bag when I’m bringing water or any small items for Addie.  I use this saddle bag most days since I want to carry as little as possible now and tend to keep my water bottle in the car.  Perfect fall bag, IMO!
