How I Tie Rectangular Scarves

How I Tie My Lightweight Scarves

Hey, hey!  I get asked a ton how I tie my scarves, namely how to tie scarves to get some volume.  What I do is so, so simple.  Last year I posted a video on How I Tie My Blanket Scarves.  At the time, I also recorded one for how I tie these lightweight gauzy scarves, but I never posted it.  Well, here it is a year later!  Better late than never, right? ?

BTW, this scarf is my favorite leopard print scarf and it’s BACK IN STOCK this year! The print is subdued and really classy without being stuffy. I looove it! Find it HERE.

Click the video below to see how I tie these kinds of scarves!  Fun fact: I was pregnant with Ella in this video!

Notes:

  • Instead of folding the scarf perfectly in half the long way, I hold it from one corner and fluff it out as much as possible before wrapping it around my neck.  This is what gives it volume.  (Shown in the video above!)
  • I named this method for “lightweight scarves,” but it works for getting volume with any rectangular scarf.

Hope this helps!
