Head to Real Life

Do you ever have those outfits that you love in your head but wearing it in real life makes you think otherwise?  Sometimes it’s that the pieces don’t go as well together as you thought they could.  Sometimes the silhouette ends up not looking quite as you’d imagined.  Other times, like in this outfit’s case, all looks fine–until you move around.  While I like this outfit in theory, wearing it quickly put it on the “non-repeater” list.  I was experimenting with using this stretchy long-sleeve tee as if were a sweater, but it was having some problems.  Namely it was too clingy, and even Bri and Fran’s tip of wearing a cami between the two layers to smooth things out didn’t work.  Plus, clinginess meant that it rode up above my hips all day and I had to pull down my shirt all the time.  Annoying!
Oh well.  You win some, you lose some.  Like I said, I still like the idea of the color and pattern together, so maybe I’ll get a looser sweater and try again sometime!
