Grey and Yellow, Friends Forever

There are some things that are always a good idea, like eating ice cream.  Is there ever a bad time for it?  And this outfit is full of things that I think are always good ideas–blazers, stripes, skinny jeans, riding boots, my beloved Target satchel, and mustard.  And definitely yes to grey, yellow, and white.  If you couldn’t tell from my blog design, it’s one of my favorite color combos!
I’ve been hearing from some of you that it’s difficult to pull off blazers casually because you feel stuffy or too dressed up.  I wonder if you’ve tried a jersey knit one?  This one is really, really like a thin hoodie sweatshirt.   It doesn’t even have shoulder pads.  It’s sold out online (though you can find the product info HERE) but there’s a non-striped option HERE that seems to have a similar drape.

Lastly, I’ve been a huge fan of Everlane v-neck tees, so I decided to try their u-neck tees too since I had some credit.  While the v-necks have a loose fit, which I really like, the u-necks are even looser and more drapey.  And the hem is slightly hi-low, which I don’t necessarily love but don’t hate either.  It does add to the casual laid back vibe.

I normally get v-necks in M and could have worn S for the u-neck, but for a looser fit I got M.  The white is totally see through, so if you’re hoping for an opaque white tee, sorry!  I wear camis under all tops so it’s never a problem for me.
