Four Ways to Wear a Textured Tee

Do people read blogs on the weekend?  Wellps, my days are all a blur on maternity leave, so I’m posting anyway!

I’ve mentioned it before, but Old Navy is killing it lately!  I ordered this textured tee online to try it since I couldn’t find it in store.  I can’t wait to see how it fits, and until it comes I’ve been dreaming up a storm of ways to wear it.  (It’s on sale right now too!)

It’s another one of those neutral pieces with interesting details.  Those pieces are amazing workhorses in your closet because they’re basically plain and can go with many, many things…except they’re not plain at the same time because they have detail or texture and that allows them to stand alone with minimal accessories.  (aka, less work for you to look put together!)

Outfit 1 – Professional
Even though this top is technically a tee it can totally be made work appropriate.  Pair it with some office staples like a pencil skirt, blazer, and pumps and you’ve got yourself an outfit for work!

Outfit 2 – Clean & Classic
I totally love this top paired with maroon trousers.  But of course you could go navy or olive or khaki–any color, really, since the top is also a neutral.  I added a simple cutout pendant and quilted cap toe ballet flats to keep the outfit clean and simple.  I have all these pieces (sans necklace) and I can’t wait to wear this!

Outfit 3 – Cozy Casual
As fall weather kicks in more and more, so will scarves and boots!  Instead of skinny jeans I went with bootcut or trouser jeans for a long, lean line.  Top it all off with a light pink pendant and/or a maroon scarf with chunky boots for a cozy casual look you can bundle up in.

Outfit 4 – Flirty & Edgy
You can also dress up this tee with a flirty skirt.  I chose purple here, since I actually own this skirt (which is on sale right now and I recommend it!) but you could really do any color with this top.  You could keep the look feminine with a more streamline shoe, but I chose to add some edge to the outfit with a faux leather jacket and chunky ankle boots.  Gotta mix it up sometimes, you know?
