Huge thanks to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post

I know many of you are updating your jeans this spring, so today I want to help you out! I’m sharing four styles of jeans to wear this spring and giving you some tips for how to wear them, in partnership with Nordstrom!

Buying jeans from Nordstrom has completely transformed my style and how happy I am with it. Thanks to Nordstrom, my wardrobe is full of incredibly comfortable jeans, and I’m excited to share some with you.

Besides that, I love shopping at Nordstrom because their customer service is off the charts! Their customer support is super helpful. You get FREE SHIPPING and FREE RETURN SHIPPING on ALL ORDERS, so you can shop online, try things, and order multiple sizes to find your best fit with ease. 🙌🏽 Not to mention, you can earn points on all of your purchases and get other perks, like Nordstrom Notes, when you have alterations done on your clothes there and when you sign up for the Nordy Club, which is totally free! Check out all the Nordy Club offers, HERE.

Here are four styles of jeans to wear this spring to help you narrow down the best option for you!

SIZING: I’m 5’6” and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

1. Wide Leg Jeans
Wide leg styles are very popular right now, and this pair of KUT From the Kloth jeans is INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE! Ever since a PMTer once described a pair of jeans like “butter pajamas,” I can’t get that phrase out of my head. And this pair feels like BUTTER PAJAMAS!!! They are thick and soooo, so soft, VERY stretchy, and just SO DANG COMFORTABLE. They hold their shape through multiple wears, too. Check them out HERE. I wear size 4.

Well-fitting wide leg jeans can be hard to find, especially if you have curvy hips like I do. One tip for finding wide leg jeans that work for you if you have curvy hips is to look for ones that fit your hips and also come in a bit right under your hips. This will help hug your figure so that the wide legs don’t balloon out on you.

Another tip is to aim for a high-waisted pair. The closer it hits to your natural waist, the better. Very important!

Last, opt to fully tuck your top in all the way around (which really looks best when the jeans are high waisted and hit at your natural waist). This creates definition for your body when wide legs do the opposite by adding loads of volume.

2. Kick Flare Jeans
Have you tried kick flares yet? They’re my FAVORITE style of jeans to wear this spring. Kick flares work really well on pretty much EVERY body type. Not to mention, they are fairly easy to transition to if you’re used to skinny jeans because kick flares are fitted at the hips and thighs, like skinny jeans, so they still provide definition and shape (unlike wide leg jeans). Sooooo, if you’ve been interested in the kick flare style, I definitely recommend trying some pairs to wear this spring!

For a length that works most easily with lifestyle sneakers and flats, go for ankle-length!

This pair in particular is a great option. They are Wit & Wisdom, which is my favorite denim brand, as you all know! They are very stretchy and soft but feel sturdy enough and supportive enough, too. And, of course, the waistband is VERY stretchy with an elastic strip, enabling you to sit, eat, and move around comfortably all day! A stretchy waistband is a MUST HAVE! Check these out HERE. I’m wearing size 6. Remember, Nordstrom offers free shipping and free return shipping on all orders, so you can order them to try, risk-free. So convenient and helpful!

Another good option for kick flares is the Madewell Kick Out Crop jeans. Huge fan favorite! They are also stretchy but sturdy and supportive. The waistband is not as stretchy as Wit & Wisdom’s waistband, but it’s sufficient for a lot of people. Find all the washes and colors available for Madewell’s Kick Out Crop jeans, HERE. I wear size 28.

If you’re in the market for a utility shirt, this one is stretchy and easy to move around in. I love how utility tops hit the mark of elevated and styled, but casual and relaxed. *chef’s kiss!* It comes in tons of colors, HERE. I’m wearing size S.

3. Ecru, Tan, Olive, or Kick Flares in other colors
For another option, try ecru kick flares, which are particularly popular right now and great if you love warm-toned colors. But don’t worry, these come in 6 different colors, including a brighter white, tan, and several more! This pair is comfy with stretch but is also sturdy and supportive. And, of course they have the stretchy elastic waistband! See all 6 colors, HERE. I wear size 6.

4. Slim Jeans
Last, if you’re not into the wider styles of jeans, try a slim jean, like this pair! These are technically skinnies, so they fit at the hips, thighs, and calves in a way that feels comfortable and like you’re at home. But, the bottom is more open, so they read a little straight and add that more modern feel. Best of both worlds!

These jeans are VERY, VERY comfy! The denim is super, super soft and stretchy. They are thinner than the other two pairs above, which makes them nice for warmer weather. I’ve owned these for THREE YEARS, and they continue to have a place in my wardrobe! Definitely worth it if you’re trying to figure out updated jeans to wear this spring but are having a harder time with wider options. Find these jeans HERE. I’m wearing size 6.

By the way, this linen blend camp shirt is fantastic! It’s pretty thick with a medium weight fabric, so it holds its shape and continues to look polished through out the day. It looks clean, classic, and crisp, but it doesn’t look stuffy, thanks to the casual material, pocket, and rolled sleeves. It’s great for polished casual outfits and comes in 6 colors, including a fun bright green, HERE! I wear size XS as it runs large. I’m also wearing it in pink with the ecru kick flares above!

There’s a chambray version of this top as well, HERE.

Jeans: c/o Nordstrom (exact—wearing size 6)

All right, these are four styles of jeans to wear this spring! Wear one, two, or all of these styles! No matter which ones you pick, you’ll have jeans that are updated AND comfy to help you feel fresh this spring.

Here are even more denim options that are also worth checking out, along with some tops to go with them!
