Fall Shopping: Fun Pencil Skirts for Fall

Houston, we have a problem.  Searching for fun fall pencil skirts was a bad idea because now I want them all.  Gah!
Even though in the fall and winter we tend towards darker colors, more muted shades, and more neutrals, that doesn’t mean our clothes have to be boring.  Here are some fun pencil skirts besides a basic black, grey, or navy skirt, that are totally fall (and winter) appropriate!

Option #1 – A super fun option if you want neutrals.  I wear my black and white polka dot pencil skirt year round, layered with sweaters, tights, and boots when it’s cold, and adding bright colors in the spring and summer.  And it’s on sale for $30!

Option #2 – I like how this neutral pattern interesting while being subtle.  It translates well from a professional setting with a button-up or collared blouse to being dressed up for a night out with a black, navy, maroon, or forest green blouse with some shiny jewelry.  It’s from Target, so I might have to check that out in person.

Option #3 – Another subtle pattern in a dark maroon and navy.  I love it for fall!

Option #4 – I’ve always wanted a skirt in this color but haven’t been able to find one that fits me well yet.  This one has ruffles in the back to make it more fun than your average pencil skirt.

Option #5 – OMG I love mustard pencil skirts!  It’s from LOFT, original price is almost $70 but it’s 50% off right now!

Option #6 – I’ve been looking for a black and white animal print pencil skirt.  I think they’re classy and spunky at the same time and translate well from a professional setting to casual and to a night out.

Option #7 – This is originally $65 at LOFT but is 40% off.  Have you guys tried LOFT skirts?  I only recently *really* started shopping at LOFT because of falling head over heels in love with their jeans.  I didn’t know they have a special “curvy fit” for pencil skirts, in addition to the regular fit.  I am a huge fan of the curvy fit pencil skirts–here’s the link to this skirt’s curvy fit.

Option #8 – Striped skirts are always in season in my book!  This one is so classy.

Option #9 – Another striped skirt option if you like larger stripes.

Overall I’d say go for pencil skirts in colors like maroon or berry, mustard, dark teal, and forest green, or for skirts in neutral colors with patterns.  Easy ways to kick up your fall gear without being over the top or overwhelming!  Now, if you like being overwhelming then that’s a different story.  ðŸ˜‰
