I know many of you are looking for elevated casual tops—you know, the ones that are a step up from t-shirts but not as dressy as blouses. As for elevated casual tops, like I mentioned above, they are tops that are a step up in dressiness from t-shirts but not as dressy as blouses. They are usually made of casual materials and give you that perfect balance of looking much nicer than t-shirts without feeling overdressed like you might in a blouse. I LOVE these types of tops, especially in the summer when it feels harder to look put together. I rely so much on elevated casual tops to add style—without adding more layers and making yourself too hot!

SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
1. Yoke Front Top
This tank is a great option that is super casual but looks more stylish than a basic tank, thanks to its material and small details like the neckline and cut. You could totally wear this to the park or a picnic paired with boyfriend jeans or shorts, or you could wear it to lunch with friends. Gotta love versatility! It’s very lightweight which will be great during the summer! One note is that I would make sure to check how it tucks in shorts when you try it on, since it has a billowy silhouette. BTW, these jeans are a comfortable bootcut option that is stretchy, really soft, and has an elastic waistband so that you can sit, move, and eat 😂 comfortably all day! I typically recommend and prefer to wear bootcut jean with heels, but this pair happens to work decently with flats (at least on me). And, they’re only $36.99 right now! 2. Smocked Tank
This tank is also a great option that works for casual settings but makes you looks nice and styled. Again, you could wear it to the park or a sporting event with shorts as well as wear it out to lunch. It’s comfy, too! It feels like t-shirt material and is really lightweight, making it another great option for the summer. It comes in straight sizes in 8 colors and 1 print, HERE. If you’re in the market for a denim jacket, I found another option to check out! This Lauren Conrad jacket is pretty thick and sturdy, but it has stretch and is pretty comfortable. It is slightly boxy, but overall it’s a great jacket to check out. It’s available in several colors and in straight and petite sizes, HERE. I’m wearing size S regular in the wash “Love Wash.”

3. Sleeveless Ruffle Top
Last is this adorable top with statement sleeves to add style and elevate it to help you create cute, casual, but put-together looks! It’s available in this print, a yellow gingham print, and a solid light chambray, HERE! It’s slightly dressier than the previous two tops, but still really casual. And, it’s just $19.99 at the moment! Pair any of the colorway options with white denim or chino shorts or beige or white linen pants come summer for a fun and relaxed, but really stylish, casual outfit! I’m wearing size S.
Also, these white jeans are really affordable and pretty comfortable with stretch. They also are the type of color and material that I recommend you look for when it comes to white jeans. The color is more of an off-white, and the material has a bit of texture, and both of those characteristics help hide dirt marks a bit better than super bright white that have a smoother texture. Finally, if you’re starting to shop for summer sandals, these metallic sandals are really affordable and really comfortable, with super soft and flexible straps. Metallic sandals are extremely versatile, as metallics are technically neutrals. (As you can see, I wore them in all three of today’s outfits!) They also add extra polish to outfits, which is very helpful in the summer when you have less pieces and less material to work with to make your outfits look good!
